Phil Rogers RIP

I didn’t see this anywhere else but he passed away June 26th. He was 80 years old.



For those that don’t know he won 5 tour events and the NCAA championships.



Probably best known as an instructor for the pros and short game guru and disciple of paul Runyon.



He helped Jack rebuild his short game in 1980 when he won 2 majors and became an excellent wedge player.



There is sees of YouTube videos of him giviving Elkington a lesson, and there used to be a long clinic he did but I think it was pulled.







Anyway, in my opinion he was ahead of his time with short game instruction and he methods are now finally widely taught.



Underrated legend of the game IMHO.

    Amen.Guy was a wedge guru. Way ahead of his time as you said. Rough couple of years for golf legends, we seem to be losing them all too often..
