I pack my own snacks and drinks instead of buying them from the course pretty much always.

If nobody is around, I'll pee standing next to the outside of a port-o-john instead of going inside it.

If a bunker is basically hardpan, I don't bother raking it.

If the tee markers are in a stupid position on the tee box (i.e. impossible to avoid hitting an overgrown tree limb right in front of the tee box, etc.) in a casual round I will move the markers sideways on the box.

I make an effort to avoid the services of/having to tip bag boys wanting to "clean" my clubs at public courses.

If my opponent in a match is looking for a "lost" ball I will act like I'm helping him look for it but not really try.

When I was a caddie at a club, I would kick the ball to more playable lies for high handicappers when they could not see me.

    That's enough for now.
Yeah I avoid the guys wanting to clean my clubs especially the 3 iron. There is a reason for the later trust me.

Been known to play with non-conforming clubs.

Will employ a foot wedge every now and again. Never hit a ball from a divot. Tree limbs, roots, rocks, etc. Are you kidding me? I'm not doing damage to myself or my implements.

I'm more or less done with helping others look for their lost balls. Don't even like looking for my own. Drop and go already, stop wasting time. You hit it 20 yards into the woods.

Never pull the pin either when playing solo. What's the point. Additionally, all 4' putts are gimmes, unless I make it.

Do not follow ritualized drop procedures. Lost ball? Throw one out with sufficient vigor to find the short grass and go. I'm already taking a stroke penalty.

Will fluff I crappy lie. Winter rules 24/7/365.

I've inadvertently touched the ball while setting up to putt. It wiggled a bit (but did not move). Didn't count a stroke. None of the buds noticed. Also, have accidentally hit the ball while taking a practice swing. Didn't mean to, so returned the ball back to somewhere close to the original position and played on. Yeah, right. Who hasn't accidentally touched the ball on a tee while setting up.

Never owned a copy of the USGA rule book.

Sometimes I say obnoxious things to my buddy before he makes an important putt to mess him up. (It never works.)

I have answered an advice question from others in my group without imposing a penalty.

Sometimes I notice nicely-dressed female golfers on the course from afar without even knowing how old they are.

For a while, I was taking ESC wrong when posting handicap rounds, resulting in the slightest of vanity handicapping.

I have drilled signage near the tee box and had it land for negative yardage.

When my son was three, I taught him to drill his kiddie club and plastic ball so well I paid for a boot-cast on his Mom's ankle. (Apple didn't fall from that tree did it?)

I've flush nutted the ball and had it fly straight as an arrow right where I was lined up, which was at least 40 degrees right or left of target.

I've "stalked" a putt - looking at it from both sides of a cup - plumb-bobbed - got down on one knee - only to four putt.

I cracked the crown of my driver head while using it as an alignment rod for 5-iron swings. (That one cost more than the boot btw).

I've driven to the wrong course to meet fellow golfers. Realized the mistake and scurried to the right course only to realize my sticks were on the bag drop at the wrong course.

I've drilled shots with great accuracy at the moving/caged ball picker at the range. And yet have never once scored a hole-in-one at a stationary target.
A cynic sees the cost of everything
    and the value of nothing.

Always--and on the cart path when i stop.
  • When I tee up ( as a right handed player) I always stand on the right side of the tee to avoid the impulse of swinging right and hooking it. This enables me to aim more left and encourages a straight shot or a cut. With all that said I almost NEVER look at the tee marker behind me and when you draw the straight line between the tees I'm occasionally (or almost always lol) ahead of that line despite being perfectly lined up with the one marker I can see (on the right).

The only reason my handicap is below ten is because the slope rating at my college course was way too high considering it was short and had no water. I'm not a terrible golfer but I sure don't feel like a sub-10 handicapper.

I refuse to play if I have to walk instead of taking a cart.

I never obey 90 degree rules when in place.

I never mark my ball or pull the pin in casual rounds.

I will support the local course by purchasing up to 2 beers, but the other 3 - 4 beers I sneak in my bag.
