Adams Golf

It is no secret that Adams went out of business within the past few years, and their clubs are being sold on the secondary market very frequently (some new and some used). How would you assess the quality of Adams clubs? Whether it would be irons, drivers, fairway woods, hybrids. Are they good quality and are they being sold for a steal amount on some websites? I have seen iron sets less than $200, and hybrids, fairways and drivers each under $50.

Adams are great clubs. Use the search function on here, you’ll get lots of raves on Adams equipment!! Bargains can be had, just look around.

Let's see, I have an Adams XTD driver, the cb3 irons and a 2014 idea hybrid. IMO, their quality is as good as any.

There are many good Adams clubs and can be bought for a steal nowadays.

I think the clubs in the XTD series are fantastic.

I had 3 sets of Adams before the PXG's and would put them up against any club manufacturer.

Including PXG, thought I would get that in before all the "haters" jump in!!!!!!!!

I would also agree that the quality of Adams equipment is top notch. I own our have owned the XTD Tour A irons (current gamers and favorite irons of all time), XTD Ti hybrids, Super Speedline LS fairway woods, XTD driver, Red hybrids, and Tight Lies Fairway woods. It is great that they are so cheap now, it makes hoing much easier.

Despite being out of business for years, Adams still has made the best hybrids to ever be held in a golfer's hand and it isn't even close.

I'm still hitting Adams irons, they put out some great stuff before TM bought them out.

Their blue and red lines were horrible in build quality. Albeit it's after company was sold to tmag and we know how tmag treated adams brand.

My buddy has those hybrids. They are hot and long.

I have a set of XTD Forged irons (3-PW) and the DHY 21*/24* hybrids in my closet that are as good as anything out there... I don’t see them going anywhere anytime soon.

I have several Adams hybrids. Great clubs and they were underrated as a manufacturer.

I still have a bunch of Adams stuff. Still have a Pro Mini in the bag.

They had some of the best gear of the times, 9015d, BTY's, A4's, Pro Golds, Super LS, 9064, 9032, CMB, A12 Pro.....the list goes on and on.

I paid full price for Adams back in the day and was happy with my purchase, even better now that it is a deal!

I changed my well performing irons just out of boredom.

I bought adams cmb and I quite like them.

I've tried to beat my Adams XTD forged irons for almost 2 years now. They're awesome!!!

A lot of the last year's stuff from Adams was made with some input from Taylormade or Taylormade is now making a variation of the old Adams stuff. Twist face was an Adams thing first for example.

I am actually debating whether to return to XTD Tours...Ebay site has them 229 new with TT DG AMT....I had a set previously that had some quality control issues but I might be able to look past that lol.

Do it! The two sets that I have owned have not had the copper issue that others have experienced. Maybe I have just been lucky.

Played some of my best golf with adams CB2 irons. Just picked up a set of CMB heads to build and still bag a Pro VST 17* hybrid that launches straight missiles

The 3 wood is one of the most criminally underrated clubs of all time. Long, straight, and looks great. An M1 hybrid finally kicked my KTI ti 2-hybrid out fo the bag about a month ago, but I'm not selling it because I know it'll be back in the bag at some point.

Adams made quality stuff. Tough business to succeed at.

I played a set of CB3 satin irons for a long time. Also loved the 9015D driver.

Still playing a Pro and a Pro Mini hybrid.

I have some as a backup set for guests that come play. Mine have copper showing through. IMO I would go for the forged over these again.

I just found a set of new un-shafted Pro Gold Tour heads 3-pw left over and collecting dust since 2008. I had them built up with Steelfibers and they promptly kicked my old Mizunos straight out of the bag. My favorite irons ever. I have had a speedline 3 wood in the bag for so long I have no idea how old it is. Never found anything better.

Im starting to look around for some heads to build for my son who just outgrew his AP1s.

Just put my Super LS 3w back in the bag. I forgot how far the ball goes with this thing. I still enjoy my XTD irons .

Adams Idea Pro was/is the best hybrid I ever owned. Still play them.

You would be surprised how easy they are to hit!

The XTD Forged, 4-7, were the FIRST hollow irons. Tech from 2014. The 8-L are traditional forged.

Hollow heads, mixed complete sets, all from 5 years ago. That is just the irons.

TM stole the wood flex technology, Adams said "see you in court" and an out of court settlement occurred.

Current M3 and M4 "Hammerhead" tech is exactly like in the XTD woods. Titanium hybrids and fairways, with the last fw's with the "ghosted" crown. That hid the upper slot which is what everybody does today.

Lastly, real shafts, no "made for".
