Insane amount of coverage for a non-men's event.

Here is a fairly in-depth article about Inbee's state of mind going into the tournament. For the last year or so you people all have been trying so desperately to push Inbee into the maternity ward; looks like she has other plans for the time being.

Be interesting to see how they handle the bunkers, there are some big scores lurking out there for wayward teeballs, wrong club selection.

Woo-hoo! 28 hours of coverage? Be still my beating heart. Don't forget to check your DVR settings, as the final two rounds have split coverage on TGC and NBC. The temperatures look nice, and there a chance for showers on Thursday and Friday. The winds look tame with gusts of no more than 15 mph for the first two rounds, and 10 mph on the weekend. Pfffft. Can we reschedule this? Lol.

My brain says to go with Ariya, but I'm going to pick Jin Young for the win this week. She's played links golf twice, and has a 2nd a 3T. Ariya will certainly be up there. Also, Inbee has a knack for stepping up after someone grabs her #1 ranking.

I think Ariya is feeling it right now. I hardly ever try to predict a golf tournament but I'd be surprised if she is not top 5 this week.

On the other end, I do not expect In Gee (Chun) to make the cut. From the outside it appears that she is enjoying tourism lately and not practicing much.

Maybe that's what Dumbo needs. A little healing time, and a chance to clear the mind.

When I was in the neighbourhood in June, I snapped this.

I'd put a fiver on some Mo magic if I could ;)

Realistic punt would be Ciganda.

One of us will be right.

I feel good about In Gee's chance this week. She needs a change from what's made her to miss Top 10 in the last eight majors.

I see an In Gee who's free from her previous baggage and is ready to give it a go.

Too soon? Sorry, I love In Gee but couldn't pass up the Ha Na Jang reference.

Carlota is a nice pick, she's been sneaky good all season without much to show for it

That pretty much describes her whole career. 'Very talented, but does the Sunday fade at the drop of a hat when she's in contention.

So is Carlota the Spanish Amy Yang or is Amy Yang the Korean Carlota Ciganda?

I am with Arg on this one, Jin Young Ko is my pick also, but Ariya will almost always have to be dealt with.

I want an In Gee win as bad as anyone, maybe it is her week.

A always, rooting for Brooke,SH, and SYR along with h other 2.

Awesome coverage, glad I work from home.

Oh wow, here we are! IK winning last year was just absolutely the best ever, still so happy. Defense seem to usually be a tough task, but I think she's in a good place to do well. Her last outings have been great, solo seven last week. Totally cheering for her.

Yeah, I'm always on board with hoping for In Gee.

An Ariya vs Inbee showdown would be too great.

I'm very curious if this will have the great high viewership last year's finale did.

Do we have the BBC to thank for all the extra hours of coverage? Regardless, super excited about it.

As usual I have no idea who to pick, but it never ceases to impress me how good the Koreans are at links golf. So ... let's go So Yeon Ryu (or as she was known last week, S. Ryu or R. Ryu).

Pretty sure the BBC doesnt cover the Opens anymore, all on private channels like Sky Sports.

Ah, be nice to see Hye Jin Choi play again. I really enjoyed her game when she was runner up to Park at the US Open last year, but seems to mostly play in Korea.

Yes Sky Sports does the live coverage in the UK and has been for a few years now I believe. I thought they did an excellent job @ Kingsbarns last year.
