New irons.

I recently went and got fitted last weekend. I’ve narrowed it down to two irons. The mp 18 blades and the srixon 965. I love the feel of both irons. But I’m on the fence on which to get. The srixon has a tighter dispersion than the mizunos, but not by much at all. Which would y’all pick between these two and why?

What do you like the look of most. Which one makes you feel like you’re a king? Like you are superior? Get that one!

Keep on the lookout for the JPX919 line. The MP18 is easy to blend from the fli hi to the MMC, SC, MB and so on. So if you don’t want to hit a true blade 4 iron you have options. Mizuno can match up all of your lofts for a true blended set

I do like a true blade 3-pw.

Mizuno, purely based on looks IMO. If the numbers dont differentiate them, just pick the ones you like better.

Also, Mizuno might retain value better if you think you'll sell em in a year.

i can't complain about my 18's. They are pretty awesome with the PX LZ's for me. Lots of spin and control through the hole set.

Same set-up as well and can can concur.

I passed on the 965 at the time for the 900 Tours.

The head size of the 965 was to bulky for me and didn’t like the V-sole. Also, the 965 was less than a full set at 4-PW which is retarded for a serious player’s set-up.

MP18 based on my testing at a couple of demos...but that would be if it were for me. :-)

Those Mizunos are CLEAN and are going to age so nicely... That’s my vote.

Mizuno would be the way to go better resale as well, don’t like the turf interaction with the Srixons IMO

I ended up going with a set of jpx 900 tours. Got a great deal on them. They hit awesome with the px 7.0s in them.

MP-18's all the way! They are the best looking head out imho. And actually are not as demanding as they look. But the 900 tours are pretty darn sweet too and a 2 time major winner this year?

I vote for the Mizuno. I have played a number of Mizuno sets (including the highly regarded mp-32) and mp-18 are my favorite.

Flip a coin! Don't think you can go wrong with either. If you see yourself making a combo set, i'd suggest Mizuno for the same reasons many above me said.

Can't go wrong - both are beautiful and high quality. Assume you tested using the same shaft.

Go with whatever looks and feels best in your mind and to your eye...all other factors being equal.

I am highly curious about a blended set. Never had this before. What would you blend with the 919 tour? I think I would like to go this route for my new set of irons

Oh this sounds interesting. Anyone blend with jpx 900's? I've only seen FLIHI/MMC/SC/MB variations of the MP-18.

MP-18's are close to perfection. Hard to beat all the pros listed above.

Although i love the 965 and the entire brand, but i'd probably go MP18 for resale value.

or wait for the 985 to come out, then it'll be 2 years newer than the current iron.
