Absolutely. He’ll figure out something with the driver. That was the most exciting finish I’ve seen in a long time

I think it depends on the event.

Tiger might have won 8 times in 2012-13, but in terms of majors, I like what I've seen in the last two more than what I saw in those years. He left nothing behind there today, just Koepka was unbeatable in that form. Plays like he did in the last two majors and number 15 can happen

Was at the event all day today. TW is definitely back!!!

Yes, but he’s never faced anyone as nerveless as Koepka before. Much more strength in depth nowadays too. He’s playing well, but wins will be much harder to come by.

Tiger has been back for a while but his putting today is what will get him more majors, he has found something with the mallet.

Three more putts in, less than a quarter-of-an-inch difference total, and he's got #15 today.

Although he can compete, there are SO many more talented players now who aren't afraid of him anymore. He can no longer win without his A game as there are so many guys who can have their A game make an appearance and they're as talented as him if not better.

Will also say he needs to get through a mental barrier. Both at the Open Championship and today, he had a sniff at the lead and immediately threw a bad shot out there.

He's great for the game and he will win sometime.

Tiger plays like this and he will win a few events and maybe even a major or two.

But the Tiger of old is not coming back. Not the über dominant player of a decade ago.

Kind of crazy that 64 is his best final round ever in a major. The Tiger of old isn't coming back but some of that is because the game has grown and gotten better. That said, he has as good a chance of winning as anyone else that is teeing it up which says a ton considering where he was not too long ago.

    Back? In what way?

From a media perspective, Tiger was never gone. It seems he's the only thing that matters in golf. Just look at ESPN's coverage of the game.

Is Tiger back to the unbeatable force of 2000? Hardly, and he never will be again.

But Tiger is definitely playing good golf overall. If he had any confidence at all with the driver he'd be winning tournaments.

And I've changed my mind on Tiger as a Ryder Cupper. I was hoping for as young an American team as possible, but things just didn't pan out in the end. Tiger has earned a spot on this year's team.

Whoa...Tiger is driving for Uber? With his driving challenges he's an insurance nightmare.

At least when he is in contention it doesn't feel like the networks are forcing him down your throat.

Not quite there but trending in a good direction. The health question will always be there, so I guess we just have to see how that goes moving forward.

I think he's back, but the Tour is a little more difficult now than when he was in his heyday. I think there are several Hall of Famers in their prime right now. It's not going to be a cakewalk for him because these guys can play and they know it.
  • lmanionlmanion Members Posts: 246
He is healthy after a pretty full season, a year after not knowing if he would even be able to play again. The good finishes and competing for wins down the stretch are a bonus. I think he wins at least once in the next year, this year just reminded everyone that nobody grinds quite like he does.

Just this weekend alone the putter went ice cold the last 9 r3 and the driver was all over the shop and yet he came out of it in 2nd place shooting 66,64. You can see why lots of fans think he is back. Im saying 80-85% back for now and hopefully can find the A game a few times in the near future.

He's back to being a good player, back to having a chance in majors, but will never be back to dominating like he did. Too many big strong young studs out there, when he was dominant he WAS the big young stud

Shooting 62 to make a playoff? Unlikely.

Koepka missed some kicks in putts as well.

But yes, Tiger is back - lets just say he can stay healthy and sane in the off season and tie up 15 next year.
