Monogrammed team golf bags source

I'm a volunteer asst boys golf coach at our local HS.

Our team needs new golf bags and we'd like to have the schools name and mascot embroidered on them with no personal names so we can hand them down from graduating seniors.

Would be nice to provide a digi file to someone reputable who can provide the bags embroidered, turn-key.

Any ideas?

Why embroidered? Any reason not to use Ping’s team bag program?

I coached high school golf for 15 years and here is my take. Ping makes a great bag for high school teams. The bag comes in colors that will match any team and the logo is all screen printed. The only issue is PING ships the bags to China to do the screen printing so it takes 4-6 months to get them bag unless things have changed. We would have to order them in August and get them February. I got tired of that and went with Titleist. They were great bags,I had them in a month, and the logo was embroidered which was great.

No, they don't have to be embroidered, screen print would suffice. We don't have a pro at my course or the teams course.

I'll checkout Jones, Ping and Titleist.

    Thank you for the help!

Work with someone to get a team bag at a discount where the front pocket (s) comes off. When they come in take them to your local embroidery store and have them embroider them. We embroider (we own 10 embroidery heads) Ping Bags all of the time for local teams because the front pocket comes off and the side pockets come off. Embroidery looks better and doesn't take as long. Should cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 to get them embroidered.

I am entering year 13 of coaching high school golf. We did Ping bags my first bunch of years but if you go with custom colors, the bags take 4 months or so to get in so they need to be ordered aug/sept to be in in time if your season starts in Feb like ours. If its a standard color like an all black bag they can get them done and to you within a month or so.

We have gone to sun mountain bags. If you look on their site at their collegiate bags I think, it shows you all the possible combos. We order those with school name down the apparel pocket and our logo on the front ball pocket and it takes about a month to get them and they run about $215 a bag. There is also no minimum order required like there is with ping.

The last year that we did it, the Titleist 14 way stand bag was $150 and that was with my name on the ball pouch and the team name on the side. You need to go through a golf shop who has a Titleist account to get them. Takes a month for the bags to come in. I also had a discount account set up with Cobra and Taylor Made for clubs, Adidas and Nike for clothes, and Bushnell for rangefinders. Send me a message if you need anything.

My response is like most above. Ping is/was the gold standard for school bags as they can pretty much do whatever you like; however, their lead times have increased pretty dramatically over the past few years (4-6 months is pretty accurate unless you order a solid colored bag with embroidery instead of screen printing) and the quality took a dip about 5 years ago.

I've been coaching for 12 years and have used Ping, Sun Mountain, Ogio, and Nike. Each have their issues and each are starting to price themselves out of the market. I tend to be opportunistic with buying bags now and look for close out "blanks" from companies. For example, my set now are Nike collegiate bags I found and had screen printed locally for an all in cost of $70. Find bags that you can unzip the pockets and do the work locally - always good to support local.

Bob, you should look into OUUL. It is a rather unknown band out there, but they take good care of high school golf teams and offer a custom bag for high school teams for around $135. They are really light and great bags which I would highly recommend.

OP here... GlobalGolf has the Titleist Players 4 bag on sale for $90 with coupon code "STACK" (15% off) and free shipping code "FREESHIP199" if you spend $200 or more.

Bought 10 hoping the ball pocket panel is removable but for that price I had to order them.

Thanks for the responses and Ill try to report back on the bags performance.

This would be my choice, bags would last for 10+ years, order them in and find a screen printer that is creative and screen print school name down the side.

Heavy is right on the embroidery looking better. I coached high school golf for 15 years and always ordered bags through ping. I stopped going with Ping the last couple of years because it took so long to get their bags. They ship their bags to China to do the screen printing so it takes 4-6 months to get the bags. The screen printing on the bags started coming off and the quality with it went down over time. I went with Titleist the last few years and they embroider their bags. I had the bags in a month. If I was still coaching, I would go back through Titleist to get my bags.

Our girl's team buys stock Ping and brings them to me to embroider.

I second the OUUL comment. We switched to OUUL and have never had an issue. Also, this company has been very helpful: https://www.onestopteamgolf.com/team-golf-bags/

I third the Ouul Golf testimony. I just got one of their bags for my son and a fellow coach/friend switched to them this year and has raved about their customer service!

Just a father and son on a journey together through golf....

Zero problems with the Players 4 bag after 7 weeks of use. And the front ball pocket cover/flap is indeed removable which facilitates embroidery.
