I've hit the PXG (g1 & g2) side by side with my baby blades quite a bit. Just can't take a pure forged blade out of the bag. Don't get me wrong, the 0311T is a great club but the baby blade is just a completely different animal. It really comes down to your personal impact patterns and preferences. For what it's worth, I own 3 sets of baby blades (1-PW) and have yet to purchase a single club from PXG.

That was my point, it doesn't matter what clubs we as amateurs play we are going to hit good and bad shots. I believe that's why so many pxg irons are for sale on the bay. Because people pay a lot of money for them then when they hit bad shots they say to themselves I paid all this money and I still stink so what's the point of having expensive clubs.

Play whatever inspires you to get better or whatever inspires you to get out and enjoy the game. The clubs in my bag do both. I've never been happier and I've never played better.

Why would it matter what clubs your using? I’m the one who made the bad swing, not my club.

Me personally? The blades without question. Having an absolute blast with my MB's. Can't imagine hitting an HB at this point in my journey.

at the risk of sounding dumb, what is an HB?

Though I can’t compare to the gen 2 I’ve struggled with the playing the 0311t gen 1 (hero program) and my bbs for the past month and a half. I ordered the gen1 0311t with x100 and listed my bbs for sale. I missed the bbs and sold them for what I paid, so it wasn’t an attempt to make money. Then the forum member who purchased the set and started texting. He was extremely happy with them and was going to sell his Miura 501s or cb57 (can’t recall which).

This had me doubting my choice and I ordered another set of pxg gen 1 0311t but in black. Played a solid round with them and they really do help with miss hits. I put the bbs up for sale and within an hour pulled them off the bay. My 0311ts are listed in the classified section but going to end it when I’m done with this post. I still don’t know which to go with. There is something special about the bbs paired with super peening blues. Maybe I’ll just sell the 0311t and order a driving iron from pxg and call it a day. The struggle is real.

Sorry got a little off topic. I’ve shot the same score on the same track with both sets and I can’t really say one was more rewarding than the other. I do think the pxg will help your score on off days, but for the most part I don’t think there will be a huge difference with your score. If I had a set of pxg 0311t with super peening blues well I might go with pxg. It is 100% possible that my struggle is moving away from the spb.

Screw it, my vote is for the baby blades.

Then again......

I recently switched from 716 MBs to a Gen 1 combo set of 0311s and 0311Ts and while my scores are similar, the clubs are completely different animals. The blades are firmer and reward you for your efforts to the millimeter, whereas the PXGs offer help in terms of strike and distance. The PXGs feel sweet but in a different way than a pured MB. I am happy I made the switch but I have the MBs in the garage as back ups if I get the itch -- so my answer is to get both both :)
