Odd Callaway Steelhead X-14 irons

Just interested to know--I recently bought a set of Callaway Steelhead X-14 irons (NOT X-14 pro series) from Global Golf and they arrived with Callaway OEM Rifle shafts installed. Since they're labeled as 'OEM', I'm assuming this isn't an aftermarket upgrade by a previous owner. However, I was under the impression that the factory Rifle shafts were limited to the pro series. Was it also a factory option for the non-pro X-14s? Callaway aficionados, please weigh in.

If I recall, yes they were an option in the standard X-14

They were available as a custom order...I believe to get rifles instead of M10's, the retail upcharge was $100.

This x2! I worked in golf pro shop when the X-14 irons were released. The stock Memphis 10 shafts were “uniflex” so many golfers upgraded to the Rifle shafts. The standard X-14s are still a fantastic design. Anika, Se Ri, Dorothy Delisen, and co. won a ton of tourneys with them. Enjoy!!

As someone who played x14 irons from 2001 to 2015, and someone who still has a brand new back up set in the basement, I must chime in. The M10 shafts where the stock offering in the X12 irons not the X14 irons. The stock shaft in the x14 irons was the Callaway constant weight UniFlex shaft. In the ProSeries, the stock shaft was the Callaway constant weight rifle shaft that you could get in either regular or stiff flex, and maybe even extra stiff, with no number designation).

You could get any of the above shafts with either the regular x14's or ProSeries through special order from Callaway.

Im pretty sure that's right.
