Where to play Tuesday morning (8/21) near Milwaukee?

Help me out and join me if you want to - but where should I play (weather permitting)? If no one is interested in joining me, I'll be a single so I'm sure I can get on pretty much anywhere.

Depends how close to Milwaukee you want. I’d consider:

Washington Couny

Morningstar

Brown Deer

The Brute

Geneva National (all 3 are solid); I think 2 open to the public any given day)

Hawks View

Broadlands

If money isn’t an issue Erin Hills, Straits, or River at Blackwolf Run

Irish at Kohler or the Bull are less expensive

Yep proximity plays a big role in recommending a course, as does price range. As well as what you’re looking for in the course (Good walking course vs planning to ride, etc).

yea you really need to put some proximity/time boundaries on your post. Otherwise too hard to answer.

Is cost a factor? If not, I’d say Erin Hills for sure. If you’re on a budget, Washington County would be my pick, especially if you’re a walking golfer.

Legend? Aren't legends suppose to be old?

There are lots of threads here on the same general topic. 100 mile radius of Milwaukee gives you more choices than you could play in a season and would loop in some very good tracks in northern Illinois. Strawberry Creek and the Geneva courses to the south, excellent golf at University Ridge and Naga-Wuake to the west to name but a few. North would loop you around any of the Kohler courses, Erin Hills and Lawsonia. Price and style play would be factors. Faux links? Parkland? PM if you have specific questions.
