3 hybrid gone. 3i (normal spec) a bomber off the tee and lower off the deck but still very good. Went with iron shaft Ctaper lite, but have a recoil if I can't get it dialed in. No hybrid, go straight to 4wd, and off the tee it's about 10-15 shorter.

Love mine. Have it at the standard loft with PX LZ 6.5. Really hot off the tee and pretty easy to use off the deck as well. It's larger than I would prefer but it's not too bad. I filled mine with yarn to dampen the sound and it's perfect now.

okay, i think you are the first person i know off that have tried this on golfwrx that is. I have to know how exactly did you do it ? I have so many questions lol.

1. How much yarn did you have to use? Did you stuff it till you cant stuff it anymore?

2. How did you insert them ?

3. Is there a BIG difference in sound ?

4. What did it do to the sound exactly?

5. Did it effect the swingweight. did you check ?Can you feel it ?

6. What color was the yarn ? Just kidding.

I use mine as my 2nd longest club in the bag. I am not particularly long off the tee, but I hit my 3i off the tee on 6 or so par 4's regularly. It is remarkably straight and goes long enough. I lost about 10-15 yards from my Fli-Hi, but the i500 is very easy to hit off the deck. It goes about 225 for me on a solid strike and would easily replace a 3hybrid/5wood. If you play a longer course, you still might want a 3wood in the bag.

1. I used as much as I could fit

2. I inserted through the toe screw using the Ping torque wrench actually

3. Noticeable difference in sound

4. Sounds went from high pitched “pingy” (God I’m sorry) to a more muted solid sound

5. Can’t feel the SW difference but it added a little, not very much.

6. Black. Figured I’d go white or black to match the Ping colors and black won out.

Really though, I love it without the yarn, but with the yarn it’s perfect.

Yarn will be the best. First up, it is the easiest to remove if you ever need to.

Weight also won't be much of an issue as the cavity has a relatively small volume. I found yarn added about 3 to 4 sw to a 460cc driver head and I'm guessing you could put all the yarn you like in an i500m iron head and would not impact swingweight by more than 2 pts, if that.

Poly-fil. I have a bag of it I got from Walmart to quiet down some drivers I had. It works great and weighs next to nothing.
