More forgiving, Apex Pro or AP2?

Title says it all, of these iron sets, which would be more forgiving?

I love the feel of the apex pro for sure, and they are definitely long. Was just thinking about switching it up and trying out AP2s.

I went from the Apex Pros to a 716 CB/MB combo. The CBs were even softer than the Apex Pros but spun more and again I lost a bit of distance. Loved them though! AP2s always felt heavy and clunky to me. Never got along with them.

I would definitely agree with this, I've played them both. Currently playing 718 AP2s something about them I just like more than the Apex Pro. They look better also.

AP2 gets my vote. I feel that there is more meat behind the ball on the ap2. Apex pro are very forgiving for their size but not as thick of a sole or weight behind the ball as the ap2

Another vote for AP2s. Also try i210s, soft and very forgiving.

I've played the latest version of the Apex Pros and the 714 AP2s. I will echo what others have said here already. The Pros feel better, offer more distance, and launch and peak lower than the AP2.

To me the two were very close in size with the Pros having less offset than the AP2. Had the AP2s spun less I could have kept them and been very happy with them. However, I lost a half to a whole club in distance with them. In the wind I struggled to knock off spin and keep the ball down; a place where the Pros shine. The Pros offer more work-ability than the AP2, IMO.

I know that may sound counter-intuitive since spin is required to draw of fade the ball. But the Pros offered me enough spin to do that, without the fear of terrible hooks or slices rather than soft draws or fades.

The past two years ive played S55's MP59's Miura CB57 Miura CB 501's and now 716 AP2's.

Best of the bunch were S55's CB501 and AP2's. I loved the Miura CB501 and still have and play them in summer when the swing is grooved, but AP2's take the cake. So forgiving. Not a huge distance iron as miuras when flushed are 1/2 club longer but AP2 are just super solid for me. Feel marshmallow when middled and can work them both ways.

I never really noticed the offset of the AP2's after coming from the Miuras. Ap2 with the correct shafts are the way to go and can be found second hand now for pretty cheap.

ap2, swapped from the pros to 716 ap2s, love the look and hit them a lot better on the low end. Apex pros look a lot thinner with the topline IMO. I think the 718 AP2's are sort of inbetween in terms of a thinner topline with the same forgiveness as the 716

im going to back to the 14 apex pros with tour vs from the 714 ap2s s300s bc the ap2s are so much shorter and balloon into the wind

Our club pros are Callaway guys, and I have hit the Apex Pros both at the course and during demo days. I have hit the AP2 (different models) at both demo days and Titleist rep visits or Titleist Thursday.

The Apex Pros and Pro 16s always flew better for me than the AP2 versions. I think the Recoil 95 shafts really helped in the Apex variants. For Titleist, the AP1 is about the only iron I have felt comfortable with.

I think it comes down to which shape do you like better. smaller profile/compact head - ap2. apex pro if not.

AP2’s if we are talking the Apex Pro, though the difference is negligible.

Only a mechanical swing device can accurately determine forgiveness. If you think otherwise, you need to get out more!.....LOL

Has anyone heard of an upgrade to the Apex line?
