Winning the Canadian Open yesterday must have been an awesome experience for her and having her sister on the bag must have made it that much sweeter! Well done Brooke!

Made me feel proud to see her win this tourney.

Still like how she grips down 3-4" on those clubs.

Brooke and her sister seem very cool. My wife thinks she looks like a young Ronda Rowsey.
Married to Callaway Clubs but I cheat with Nike Clubs on occasion.

Ha ha I see the same thing about Brooke and Rhonda all over twitter all the time, I don't really see it lol

    Congratulations to Brooke.

She has one of the best lags in golf - Sergio included. You can't teach that kind of hand action - it is just natural.

    I am a big fan.

On top of everything, she seems like a good person who doesn't take things for granted, is thankful and appreciative. Maybe growing up in a town of 9,000 does that for you.

I'm a little late with this one but thought I'd give some love to the ladies seeing as they don't get much if any on here.

Hats off to fellow Canadian & Smith Falls, Ontario's own Brooke Henderson on winning our national title, the CP Womens Open, this past Sunday becoming the first Canadian to do so since Jocelyne Bourassa in 1973. I watched proudly as she was able to take home the win and have to say it was great to see the genuine emotion she felt afterwards as she couldn't help but tear up during her brief green side interview as 'Oh Canada' was being sung in the background by the spectators on hand (coincidentally I just so happened to get a little something in my eye at the same exact moment. I know, what are the chances right) . Truly a great moment in not only Canadian golf but golf in general being able to see just how much it means to a golfer to be able to capture their national title. Good on you Brooke, here's to many more! image/clapping.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':clapping:' />

They get plenty of love and respect in the LPGA forum, including Brooke for this win.

It's a little north of this forum! ;-)

She played great. I was watching when I could. She was under pressure on Saturday and held off a few hard chargers. Great job, great golf.

LOL Ya I just noticed it after posting. Needless to say I don't post a lot of new topics on here let alone delve into the LPGA all that often so didn't even realize there was a forum on here for the gals (probably should have figured so seeing as there's a forum for everything under the sun on here).

Just saw the opportunity for the "up north" comment and couldn't resist. She deserves all the extra attention she gets, and I love all things Canada.

I am from just South of the Border, and I am a big fan as well. Love to watch her play, and I really admire the lag that happens so naturally in her swing. She is very powerful for her size.

Looks like Brooke has got herself a fan "woman" in Crusty Kerr, who was one of the players waiting for her on the 18th green. My guess is Crusty joined the Brooke's Brigade last year in this same event.

Cristie Kerr waved at her caddy to stop for a second on the 18th fairway of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. Mirim Lee and her bagman also held up.

    ................................

"She had so much pressure on her this week," said Kerr, who played with Henderson in the first, second and final rounds. "You know, more than a major, I told her. I was joking around, but it was true. Look at the people out here for her, they all want her to do well, and she wants to do really well for them."

Kerr tried to settle Henderson's nerves when it looked like the younger player might miss the cut. When Henderson had a pair of bogeys in the front nine on Sunday Kerr was there again to cheer her up.

Then, of course, it was Kerr who insured that Henderson had one last moment in the sun at the Women's Open, getting their group of golfers to slow their pace so the Henderson sisters could absorb the crowd's applause.
