Will the Brits be allowed in, considering de Gaulle was a fanatical Anglophobe as well? ; )

So I have a pretty good feel for the US pairings, what are some likely teams on the Euro side? Rose/Stenson, Garcia/Rahm? How about the rest?

Their nation is about to be swarmed with Americans and Brits, the French didn't think this Ryder Cup thing through very well did they?

And I looked on Google maps and the nearest McDonalds is just northwest of the course. And Dominos isn't that much further down the road.

If the American players go out and take care of business they should win, probably the strongest Ryder Cup roster they've had in 10+ years. The Euros have a good team and I think it'll be close but I like the Americans this go around.

  • "hallowed turf of Le Golf National"??????????????????

I thought the course might actually be in Louis XIV's back yard. It's close, just a little south of Versailles.
That line stood out for me too. There are only six of the 24 players who're definitely younger than the course, which was opened in 1990.

    Hardly St. Andrews is it?

Are none of the Euro team affected by this?

I played the course 5 years ago. ( 2 days in a row) We had a great experience , but for me it was one of the most intimidating courses I ever played . water is everywhere (have to carry it to reach the green) .. some heavy rough as well.. ( but that's the amateur perspective) :-)

I think it could get interesting! ( scoring is historically on tour / open de France not that low as well .. around -10 if I remember well)

Lets enjoy it! US team looks very strong for sure!!! Shame that there will be no Belgian Bomber this year :-)
    Countdown for Augusta!!!
