Experimenting with Ping G lst with hzrdus Yellow 47" long

First off, I'm new to this site, as of 20 minutes ago. Thanks for having me!

I was playing my lst with a 75g 6.5 hzrdus black. 45" long about D3 swing weight, standard grip size. Everything was working well so I decided I wanted to tinker around and spice things up. I'm a big guy (6'4" 280 pounds, not a lot of fat, just a big guy), I have a lot of power with a smooth swing that maxes out around 110 mph. I was playing a little shorter than the stock Ping g lst length of 45.75" for more control. The only thing is the ball address just wasn't correct. I'm tall with shorter arms so I typically use longer clubs (+1.5 irons). I noticed I was hitting slightly off the toe. So I decided I wanted to try a longer set up, something that felt better at address and maybe help me hit more center. I wanted something nice and stiff but I knew with adding that much length the swing weight would be way off. So I went with a Hzrdus yellow for the back weighting it provides (3 swing weights lighter) and a pure jumbo white grip (87g). With the standard head weight and the 47" this comes out to about c8-c9 swing weight. So my plan is to add a heavier weight to the head to get that swing weight back to D2-D3. The weights are on their way.

In the mean time I couldn't resist, I went to the range today to hit a few. I was hitting a lot of reallt high fades. I'm thinking it's because the swing weight is so light right now.. anyone have thoughts on that? Contact did feel pretty funky being that light.

Once I get the proper weight in to D2-D3 my thought are with my body style, being a big strong guy but not super fast, I'll be able to maintain my 110 mph swing speed with the heavier club. This will cause more momentum and I hope more distance.
