That's what the pros use. And they do double duty as a ball mark repair tool.

I have never been to a course where they give away tees

I also like that its the same height every time so I don't have to fiddle with it

But what if you need to adjust ball height to hit a different shot? Nothing beats the old wood tee.

I just use the regular wooden ones. Usually free at the starter stand.

I've got some pro series oak that I like on windy days, if it's not windy I go with the tour issue maple. The tour issue heads are a little smaller so the wind complicates things, also if you have had too many beers it can be difficult to balance the ball on the head.

Whatever I find or get for free. I am 61 years old and have never bought a tee in my life. Love Tourist golf season. Most do not pack bags of tees to save weight so as soon as they hit the beach they go to the big box stores and get a big bag. They do not bother to pick one up off the ground either. I also have a friend of mine that owns a Pancake House up the street and he has always given away free tees with his business printed on them.

Whatever tee I get out of my bag. I pick up tees I find on the course and put them in my bag. I haven't actually bought any tees in what has to be 10+ years by now. I actually collect so many during the course of a season I have to take some out of my bag.

I bought the 500 pack of wood tees at the beginning of last year from lostgolfballs.com, as the $6.99 cost got me over the $99 order total to qualify for free shipping.

I'm not sure that I'll ever need to buy tees again.

I am the same way but instead of taking them out of the bag I have to empty them out of the coffee mug on the shelf. My wife jumped my butt on that the other day. Yes mam I will empty them in one of the coffee cans in the shop now

Plastic ones from Canadian Tire, don't know the brand. A box of long ones and a box of short ones. They usually last a couple rounds before they break or just bend enough that I grab a fresh one.

    Champ FlyTees (plastic).

I used to use wood tees, but they generally they last no more than two holes before breaking, usually one. Not unusual for a plastic tee to last a full round, perhaps even more at times.

Why has no one mentioned the nekkid lady tees?

They were what every 13 year old caddy hoped to find when they did a loop for an out of towner!

If I have to hit a FW from the tee I do it Laura Davies style take the club and chunk me a piece of turf up of course I bump it down and fill it when finished

Do you hit your driver at the same height as a 4 iron off the tee?

Play old wood tees are fine for me. My club gives them away so I always grab a handful when I play, that why I have a little stash in the bag if I travel to another course.
  • farmerfarmer Members Posts: 7,906 ✭✭
4 more yards. indestructible. Ironic since I have a twitch that won't let me not pick up a good tee. I have a cooler full.
  • theboypinoytheboypinoy Members Posts: 2,076 ✭✭
Just standard plastic tees when using woods from the tee, since they last forever.
