Does anyone else use cord and non-chord grips throughout their set?

I've been using crossline full cords on my wedges and short irons (8-pw) and non-cord crosslines on my long irons. It's just feel thing for me. Anyone else do this?

I've always used the same grip on every club except the putter. If I get new club the first thing I do is put on a matching grip. I just like the consistency of feel throughout the set.

I had some mixed grips types a few years ago. It was the opposite of you though. I really needed the cord to prevent slippage (high humidity) on higher velocity swings with the long clubs. Slippage on shorter clubs was not much of a problem. Eventually, I went to full cord throughout though. I can't image doing it opposite like you have. Why do you need cord on the shorter clubs you swing easily where feel and partial shots is important, but you eschew it on long clubs where you swing fast with full swings and the chances of slippage increases?

I prefer the same grip on all clubs except putter. That reminds me, my new three wood has completed the interview and is now a member of the team, time to get the stock grip off and match it to the set. This is kind of a graduation procedure and lets the new club know that it has found a long term home. It give the new club the confidence it need to perform at a high level.

Crossline fullcords on irons and wedge, and stock grips on most everything else. I like cord grips, but, am not as picky as I use to be.

MCC +4 on my woods and hybrid. Mixed MCC+4 or Lamkin UTx on DI. UTx on irons but going to Lamkin Player's cord standard+ soon when these wear out. No cord on the wedges. I am much softer with my hands on wedge shots so I like the soft feel of no cord. I also don't always use a glove with wedges.

I do something similar. Tour velvet regular throughout the bag, but TV cord on my gap/lob wedges. I do this so I can play my pitch/sand shots without a glove comfortably in muggy Houston.

Tour velvet non cord on everything else

S Tech on woods and irons, Lamkin Players cord on wedges. Can see myself just going full S Tech as I feel the cord is really harsh on the hands when I practice/play often.

I have different grips throughout my set

Cp2, tour velvets,NDMC,tour wrap, NDMC +4

They came with club when I bought em so just left em on there.....irons all have same and wedges all have same (different than irons).....driver, hub, fwys woods all have different grips...

I used to have all same but every time I tried a new club I would replace grip, I stopped doing it cuz it didn't really matter so I leave it on there to see if I like club and never changed em, lol

One thing I do is keep em super clean......every 3rd rd they get a good scrubbing, heads every rd

MCC+4 on driver and fairway, crossline full cord on 712u, tour wrap on irons in midsize, and mulricompound on wedges. I picked up the irons used and haven't decided what I want to put on them. I have used almost everything except Winn grips. I used full cord when playing the most, but I play less now and the softer feel in larger size feels better on irons.

I used to be very selective of what type of golf grip on my golf clubs. They had to be the matched set, at least for the set that's in the current bag.

Right now, as long as the grips has the same size and similar feel, most of my bags are a mixed match on grips. They serve one purpose, to give a good grip on the golf club. Kind of fun to have different grips on the clubs.

I've got chords on two wedges and itomics on everything else.

I'm the opposite as the OP, I like aggressive grips on the full swing clubs and smoother, softer grips on the non full swing clubs. For me its NDMCs on everything except the two most lofted wedges which get Tour Velvets.
