65 grams of moveable weight on the M5 Fairway? Jeebus, that'll move the CG around more than a bit! I wonder how they pulled off that kind of discretionary weight saving to make that happen.

That m5 weight system looks a lot like the original cortex weight track prior to them consolidating to the single track. Funny they said that rear track didn’t have much of an effect on flight/shape/cg. Now we’ve got both TM and Cally opting for this style track. So... who’s wrong?

Honestly, the cortex is better looking than these and the epic flash line. Too bad it doesn’t quite check all the performance boxes. Interested to see the G410

That must be the shaft? 65g is a third of some club head weight.

That 65g is moveable in the head I meant - seems absurdly high

I would love it though....let's be clear - never seem to get enough weight in the Toe to slow it down

I agree it seems pretty nuts, thats basically 3-4x more weight than you normally see. Personally I think it would be a great thing but i'll believe when I see it. IUbball23 said he had it in his hands....

Not going to go thru all 25 pages of this thread but I held the entire lineup in my hands yesterday. Both drivers have matte carbon fiber on the top w/ a much smaller "silver" area up front. In person, to me at least, M5 looked considerably better than the M6 (both at address and the bottom of the club, bc that matters...)

M5 fairways are pretty incredible. Titanium faced and have a moveable 65 gram (yes 65 grams) weight.

Also TwistFace is on everything, including fairways and hybrids. No hybrid in the M5 lineup.

65 grams. Not a joke. Was absolutely shocked when I saw it / took the weight out of the head and actually held it in one hand and the head in the other. I know it sounds like a crazy # but it's definitely true.

Is it tungsten? Would have to be really dense to be that heavy in a small enough weight to move around...

That part I am not sure about, will see if I can find out. That being said there is nothing "small" about this weight, it takes up its fair share of the sole of the fairway wood.

65 Grams will move the COG significantly, however the weight must be so big that the track will allow limited travel from side-to-side.

Makes me wonder if that circular weight thing they did in about 2011 is in the fwy...

I am against the price creep of the drivers this year. Nothing I can do about it, except for bow out of buying one (tempting to do the opposite with all of the hype though!). I do think the TM's look cheap and plastic. Like the interior of a $60,000 Chevy pickup.

For the fairway, what if it is a circle or cog like weight that only moves a few degrees in one direction or another? I can imagine a large part of the sole actually being the weight, and the actual head is just the crown and the face with some supporting structure.
