Wouldn't mind Rose gaming Honma's. They actually have a decently strong portfolio. Driver maybe a little less heralded, but their TW line is geared towards guys who don't need the gold 5 star badges with super high COR.

This rumor has started to grab my attention. I have a difficult time seeing Rose leaving TM when he's playing the most consistent golf in his career. Honma better be throwing some big money at him if this turns out to be true.

TaylorMade is in a tough spot, but you have to look at the next 5-10 years and that money is better spent on Rahm and other younger players now that TaylorMade actually has to make good business decisions and can’t sign everyone.

I’d think it would be a minimum club deal and I’m sure he can get essentially the same irons he has now with Honma branding. He’ll prob get to keep all those TM woods, the putter, and maybe even the ball. That dude hits it so pure he could probably break par with a 14 club package set.

go out to shops and try Honma drivers. You SHALL have the second thought. Ounce by ounce, yard by yard. Amazing clubs.

From a TMAG perspective it makes sense, I think Rose would be better off without an equipment deal if TM doesn't resign him.

In his interview yesterday he was asked why he is not playing the next tournament and he said it is for reasons that will “be apparent next year”. Sounds to me like he might be getting some time in with new clubs.....

The DP Tournament that ends the Race to Dubai. That is what I think he was asked about in the interview.

As for those new clubs, Rose will start 2019 playing irons made by the Japanese company Honma Golf, although he will still use TaylorMade's ball and woods.

by reading the article, I could see why it is called "barstool sports." I was one of the skeptics and the critics until I own one. Honma is darn good club maker. Of course, Honma will pay Rose lotta $$$. I am sure so has TM. Rose is KIng's trophy boy. We will witness Honma becoming a household name soon like many Asian companies.

Casey won Valspar with Mizuno irons without contract. I see Casey going with Honma with enough $$$ on table. Molinari is another free agent.

There are many free agents now in tour. Carpe Diem.

IMO Honma Iron is better than Mizuno. Casey can do anything but I want Moli !!

I've been aware of Honma since probably around 2000 and have seen their irons in person a few times over the years but only models that were cavity backs and kinda bulky looking to me. Just looked at their site and gotta say their newer irons look fantastic.

All jokes aside I’ve seeen many sets of Honma on the course. Not much golf (worth note) being played with them but it’s a status symbol. Expensive as **** and ugly as sin. Bling Bling. Like the Bentley SUV they get loaded into. FUGLY.
