Pinehurst Area Travel or Booking Agent

Planning a trip to Pinehurst in February and looking for options to book through. I only know of Tobacco Road travel agency but looking for other quotes.

Ideally we want to play Tobacco Road, Dormie, Mid Pines, Pine Needles, and Pinehurst 2 and 4. I have a friend who is a member of Pinehurst so he has us covered there just need a package for the first 4 and a hotel.

My experience is that quotes from the different agencies are pretty close. I have booked past couple of buddies trips through Talamore as we like their condos better than the Pinehurst condos.

Why not just book them yourself? You can book are those courses online or with a phone call except the Pinehurst courses but you got that covered due to knowing a member.

Is it worth it to stay in a pinehurst condo just to play maybe one resort round and the other 3 rounds be mid pines pine needles and dormie. Want to do 4 or 8 as our other round but seems like you have to stay on property to make that happen.

I'm pretty sure the agencies can get you some pretty good discounts on the packages from what I am seeing.

^Agencies definitely help. I did pine needles tob rd. and dormie this summer, lodging included for 8 of us in one house, $400 a piece. Thought that was about as good as it can get. Summer rates helped im sure but still .

I assume #4 will carry a surcharge like #2 but has anyone heard for sure?

All of the booking agents at Talamore are great. I own one of the Talamore condos, and get down there to use it myself a couple times a year. I've dealt with everyone there, any of them will take really good care of you. Nikki is actually the newest of the group, I'm glad to see so many compliments to her.

I do believe that you'll see a discount on golf prices by booking through someone like Talamore, or Tobacco Road. Having a condo for a group of 4 is pretty competitive with staying in most hotels, and its nice to have a real kitchen. Talamore offers breakfast every day, and in season a NC Pig Pickin' on Thursday nights. I'm not sure you'll see the pig in February.

I played No.2 with a member and granted it was middle of summer so lower rate, but it is a nice savings if your with a member.

We ended up going with TR Travel and couldn’t be happier. Easy to deal with and great prices.
  • I have always used Tobacco Road Travel. I love Tobacco Road so that makes it simple. Tobacco Road now has a cabin on property. I haven't stayed there and it's a bit of a drive to Pinehurst for all the activities there.

Yeah since we are playing #4, #2, TR, Dormie, Mid Pines, and Pine Needles we decided to stay in the Village at the Magnolia. Additional plus with being so close is that we can hang at Pinehurst for drinks and dinner at night and sneak on Thistle Dhu for some putting fun.

Its been years, but we stayed at the Magnolia in about 2006, its a great spot, but reportedly its haunted. New owners since then, but the little bar is still there, and lots more within stumbling distance. My favorite is a little longer walk, but its worth it, Maxie's, out past the Cadillac dealership.

We've had success Tobacco Road Golf & Travel, Ring the Pines Golf (ask for Debbie Bureau)910-684-4324, and with Legacy Golf Pkgs fro Legacy Golf Links - ask for Steve)910-944-8838.

Package deals are definitely the way to go. I just had some friends come back from a very good long weekend trip put together by Talamore GC.
