No need to pack their bags, the IC players tee it up again in Incheon. It looks like So Yeon and Georgia decided to sit this one out, but we have a very strong field nonetheless. The field includes a number of top KLPGA players, including Seon Woo Bae, Hye Jin Choi, Ha Na Jang, A Lim Kim, Ji Hyun Kim, Ji Hyun Oh, Da Yeon Lee, and Jeong Eun Lee (Lucky 6). The talented American amateur Yealimi Noh is also in the field.

The tape delayed broadcast looks a bit odd with 4, 2.5, 3, and 2.5 hours of coverage.

The weather forecast looks great with plenty of sunshine, temps in the low to mid 60's, and light winds.

Jin Young secured her LPGA card last year with a win, and I'm predicting another KLPGA winner this year. I'm going to go with A Lim Kim, a winner this season. Lucky 6 should be in the hunt. Sung Hyun and Ariya should also finish strong.

I went to lpga.com to see the field list, not up yet that I could find. Anyone know if Bo Mee Lee is playing - I know she's JLPGA.

BTW I went to the official website and since my Korean is lacking I hit the "translate" button. I was happy to see Arya Jutta Nugan and Yiminji are both playing. Google translate my backside.. I need to learn Korean.

No, Bo Mee Lee is not in the field.

I think the winner will come from a player who played the crown or plays on the JLPGA or KLPGA. I think most LPGA'ers who weren't in the Crown will have an off couple rounds rounds at the start while getting back in to competitive mode after the month off. Many of those who competed in the Crown weren't on point at the start of the event without 3 weeks of competition. I have a feeling about Ingee this week, she seemed to be enjoying playing at home and I think she'll carry the momentum of the Team Korea win into this week.

I'm going against my better judgement and picking Dumbo for the win.

So Yeon taking the week off seems weird, is there something behind the scene with So Yeon and Hana Bank?

Either Hana Bank ditched SYR last year for the young hot shot in SHP. OR , Mediheal gave SYR an offer that she couldn't refuse.

I am leaning towards the former. So my guess is this event is not high on her list.

You're right that Hana Bank dumped So Yeon before 2017 season.

it's been a blessing in disguise fro So Yeon; she's enjoyed a career resurgence in 2017 and the momentum has carried into 2018.

So Yeon's star power is very high right now. Why should she use it to help out an ex.

I would love to see that. The LPGA is noticeably less cool since she left.

Don't forget that this week is the start of 6 straight tournaments. I'm surprised more IC players aren't taking the week off.

I always like Ha Na's personality, but I can do without the exaggerated fist pump for a par on the first hole of the first round, although it's not only something done by her.

Well most players with a chance to win the CME won't be in China, so I assume that's the break most will take. No offense to Alena Sharp but she's in the field for China and that shows you how far down the money list they are going to fill it .

It's weird that Alena (No. 92) is in the field but Peiyun Chien (No. 72) is on alternates list for Buick LPGA Shanghai.

    But, your point stands.

I certainly hope so. SYR picked up the mess left behind by the Queen Bee. Captained team Korea and got the best out of a struggling IGC and a hobbling Inky to a victory under intense pressure. SHP maybe #1, but SYR is the MVP.

I like the multiple wins pairing, the only 3 players with multiple wins this season Ariya (3) Sung Hyun Park (3) and Brooke (2) lol

I`m going out on a very thin limb, it might even be cracked...Lexi..for the win...

    Maybe Jin Young repeats.

Georgia’s caddie/boyfriend’s Mother died last week. That’s why he wasn’t at the IC and, I assume, she isn’t playing this week.

Good for So Yeon! I was so mad at Hana for that. I've only barely emotionally recovered from them breaking up that 2016 team, it was so perfect.

IK has resurged post-Hana too. They should stand by their players and show faith in them. If I was a bank I'd want to display long term commitment stuff like that, instead of chasing the latest big thing.

I mean yeesh, if Sung Hyun were ever to hit a rough patch, Hana has shown just what they'll do. Can't abide it image/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' />

It's a great fit type of role for So Yeon, the way she's so aware and concerned about others. Perfect for that style of leading or ambassador-ing. I hope she really is getting recognition.

Also, just looking hard at the scores all days, SHP was surprisingly kind of the least MVP ... though you have to take into account on the last day she was taking on Ariya 1vs1, and was the most capable of doing that.

Anyway, here and now for the tournament ... ohh Xiang is in the field! I'm gonna cheer for her, would love her to have a great time.

This is always interesting with so much of the KLPGA talent out too.

I say In Gee all the way! She just got a big taste of success again, and still has the home field to feel emotionally supported, which seems to be key. She knows she can do it.

Agree with this completely. I thought she showed a lot of poise (Kramer...?) and held things together like a rock throughout the weekend. Huge amounts of respect for her on that, and her English is really, really good. Seems she's fully embraced her role on the LPGA and it's great to see. Heard she's a blast to play with as well.

I'm going to pick Ariya to win this week with Nasa doing well also. Maybe this will stoke a friendly Korea/Thailand rivalry or Korea vs. Ariya rivalry.

Jenny Shin as a wildcard pick.

I bet. Temps in the upper 40's to start the day?

It looks like Nasa's solid play at the IC carried over into this week, as she put up a very solid -7 to take the first day lead. Charley and Danielle trail by two strokes, and Minjee and Sung Hyun are three back.

Ji Hyun Kim and Ha Na shot the best rounds of the KLPGA players at -3.

Of course my pick pick for the week is one spot up from DFL. Oy.

33 putts? No blow up holes, but six bogies. I wish the tour published scrambling stats. It would appear that she failed to get up and down on her 5 missed greens, and three putted at least one green (in reg).

Danielle Kang could have a point to prove to the selectors of the IC USA team here. They would rather risk an injured MW? with no leadup form to Danielle with some average leadup form. Still MW has superstar status on the LPGA and would attract more attention! I guess there was never a chance MW would stand down for the sake of the teams chances....

We are getting 5 hours of continuous commercial free coverage on Sky Sport here every day.....probably see a little more of Lydia today.

In Gee and Sung Hyun both have a history of getting edged here so I want to see them win, cap off a memorable homecoming.

Yep, I have warmed up to In Gee again. I'll be honest, a couple of inches of hair has made all the difference. Yes I am shallow.
