Rtx 4 vs Ping glide forged

Anyone compare these two wedges? I’ve hit the Cleveland and think they have a good one with the rtx 4s. Curious how people like the glide forged, have not hit them yet. Also is the extra $50 worth it for the Ping??!

Now this may not be the answer you’re looking for but I played around with the idea of the glide forged wedge but can’t kick the glide 2.0 stealth out of the bag. Gets better Spin and launch. I know from other posters the RTX is a great wedge but I would try the Stealth 2.0s they may surprise you

Not what you want, but I think the Stealth 2.0 are less demanding and more easily playable for most - I find the 56 ES and 60 SS so versatile. I would use the Ping Glide Forged 60 on a dry links course.

I am really looking forward to trying the RTX4s... they look great to my eye. I have tried a Glide 2.0 stealth, 46/12 and I was not a fan. It's weird because I play the same bounce in my SM6 and the SM6 feels a lot less harsh through the ground. I felt like I could feel the stealth bouncing hard of the ground and I struggled to make good contact. YMMV

A good example of a Great Cast Wedge is just as great or better than the Forged Wedge that lacks personality.

At xmas i bought and sold 2 new Mizuno wedges and have stuck with SM5 at 50 and 60 and an older SM wedge at 54.

All have great feel etc.The Ho in me sees an RTX4 in the future... liked RTX version ones!

Sounds as if grind and shaft were not a good fit - it happens, I chucked my SM7's for the Pings. The SM7 fit in terms of it was the correct grind for me - just did not like the grind on delicate shots and tight lies around the green - did not agree with what I wanted to do.

I've hit the RTX4 and Glide Forged in the store; ended up placing an order for the RTX4 Raw. The feel off the face and grinds of the RTX4 are better suited for my game. I honestly expected the Glide Forged to be feel softer off the face.

I smacked the Ping Glide Forged in the store and enjoyed the feel - 8620 Steel is not 1025, but it felt solid, light and crisp.

I have the rtx 4s currently and do enjoy them more than the sm6s I had previously. But the OCD in me wants me to match my iblades to ping wedges!🤦🏻‍♂️🙈🙊

Interesting... what do you like more about them and what SM6 setup were you playing? I just traded some SM6s for RTX3, but I think I am liking the shape of the 4s better... looking forward to trying them out though.

I played the m grind in both my sm6s 54 and 60. I was fitted into the mid bounce in both 54 and 60 of the rtx4. I like the look of the 4s much better than the 3s. I liked the m in the 54 but for some reason didn’t love it in the 60.

I just put an RTX 4 58*-6 bent to 57*-5 in the bag to replace both a 56* and 60* MD3s. To be honest, I'm having a little struggle getting accustomed to the lack of bounce but I'm excited to get it ironed out. It will not only help out balancing my bag but it should be the best fit for our tight fairways and aprons. I can't say that I've even held the new Ping Forged wedge but I sure like the shape and scale of it...looks beautiful, and a little pricey.

I have owned both the Glide Forged and the RTX4s, I still own the RTX4s. The Glide Forged seemed diggy for me. I struggled to dial in the touch shots with the Glide Forged. Probably just not the right bounce/grind for me. I love the RTX4s

I don't see the big deal with forged wedges. Zero performance difference between cast and forged. Just not worth the extra money. I'm still playing Eye 2 BeCu SW and LW.
