3 Woods: Taylormade M3 vs Titleist TS3

As the season is coming to an end here in KY, I am debating between two 3 woods to get. I have hit most the new 3 woods and have narrowed it down to the Taylormade M3 and the new Titleist TS3. I personally like the looks of the M3 but the sound of the TS3 better. The M3 is a smaller head, less forgiving but appears to be hotter/longer when hit square. The TS3 is fairly forgiving, more consistent, and still goes plenty far. Another pro about the TS3 would be the best shaft options without having to pay for upgrade. I have never been a fan of Titleist woods but this may be the first purchase I make of one, as I have always been team Taylormade till this year.

I was wondering if anyone else has compared these two clubs and may have other details or opinions to offer. Both are great clubs and will be an upgrade from my 3 wood that is 7 years old.

TS3 for me. Looks, feel better. And like you said, better shaft options. Also try the Rogue. Great feel and she goes! image/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

I think i'll be in the same boat next year. I have a TM Rocketballz Tour 14.5*, I hit the thing well, just want to upgrade and maybe hit the ball on a higher flight. I'll be following this thread!

Titleist for me but the signature gives that a way.

I have tried the M3 and the TS3 fairway woods (although I am sticking with my 915Fd). For me, the TS3 was better off the tee. I wasn't so keen on either off the deck though.

Recently tried both to see if either could knock out the King LTD out of my bag. The M3 did. I thought it felt/sounded better, and produced better ball speeds both off the deck and off a tee. I was swinging both with equal swingspeeds, and the M3 is just hotter, spun about the same, and both were reaching around 100ft peak. GC2/HMT approved. Neither could produce the ball speeds of the King LTD, but they were both much easier to hit off the deck.

Both are great. M3 for me it is.

I tried the rogue and the rogue subzero, along with the new ping. They didn't make the cut for me. Not saying they aren't good clubs but just not for me.

If only your photo wasn't the ugly Tennessee orange, I would believe you! Go CATS!!!! Joking aside, I ended up ordering the TS3 and looking forward to adding it to the bag.

I have no idea why Taylormade keeps their M1/M3 fairway woods so small. 140 cc is like a hybrid these days.

Very reason I love them though. Who needs to try to hit Driver off the deck ?
