Ping eye 2 irons. So many people allegedly still “gaming” them. I haven’t seen a set on a golf course since the mid 90’s !
G Max Driver, Tour 65 Stiff
    G400 3 & 5 Woods Alta CB Reg
G400 2,3,4,5 Hybrids Alta CB Reg
G410 Irons, 6-U, Green Dot, Alta CB Reg + 1/2"
Glide Stealth 54 (SS) & 58 (WS) Green Dot, Alta CB Reg + 1/2"
    Ping Sigma 2 Valor, Stealth

    Disclaimer*

I'm a handicap golfer in my 50's. Any opinions I have about golf equipment or professional golfers or the game in general should be taken as seriously as you would the opinions of a random guy in the fourball ahead of you who just shot 92 but is usually better than that.

    Just for fun, two questions
    1. When someone says unicorn, what do you think it should mean?
    2. What are your favourite unicorns?

I'll start - UDI 1 iron, Adams BTY Fairway wood, R510 TP driver?

Since 2005, the only club I can think of that is still revered to this day is the 905R. Don't get me wrong, I love the R510TP (in fact I have one myself) but that was made in 2003 (I think), not 2005 (you said last 15 years, not last 17).

Though i'll admit I didn't check the numbers before posting, 2003 is 15 years ago by my maths? Regardless, 905r is a great suggestion!

    905r ... Really? 😲

I was about to give mine to my nephew, since he got some ok shots away with it on Sunday.

    He's 13. Rarely plays.

Might just keep it then. 😉

A unicorn is something magical that is never/rarely seen, so I'd agree on the Adams BTY's and CMB's.
I am not brand loyal. I am just seriously OCD.

I think a unicorn is one of those clubs that just works for you, even if you got the exact same club to spec it doesn't perform like the original "unicorn". Think of Tiger Woods "Elder Wand" Scotty Cameron, try as they might they have never been able to replicate it completely.

    Favorite unicorns for me:

    1. Cleveland CG14 60-degree wedge w/zip grooves

    2. Original Odyssey #7 White Hot (still in the bag)

    3. TaylorMade R7 Titanium 3 wood (ridiculously long and easy to work left/right and up/down)
Driver: He who shall not be named...
    3 Wood: Callaway Rogue w/Project X Blue Evenflow 75
    5 Wood: Callaway Rogue w/Project X Blue Evenflow 75
Irons: Ping iBlade Nippon AWT 2.0 Stiff
    Wedges: Callaway MD3 50, 54, and Honma TW737 Forged 62
Putter: Original Odyssey White Hot XG No. 7
    Ball: Srixon Z-Star 2018 (Yellow)

The Stenson: Nike Vapor Fly 3W - Mitsubishi JvlnFX 74 X-Flex
The Walking Stick: Titleist 818 H2 19 degree - Aldila Rogue Max 85X
The Blades: Nike VR Pro 4i - PW - DG S400 TI Shaft
The Rusties: Nike Engage 50, 54 Square Sole, 58 Toe Sweep
The Putter: Nike "The Oven" Method 003
Balls: Nike RZN Tour Black/Platinum, Bridgestone Tour B XS, Titleist AVX
    Bag: Sun Mountain Four Five

Because the bill for that club was outrageous. I think Bob Parsons got the idea for PXG based solely on that club

Cobra King LTD has to be in the conversation.

For the HiBore 2 Wood unicorn crowd- try the SLDR S 460 16* driver. Easier to find and better (for me). That’s the unicorn in my bag. Ball flight is nuts. Instant launch with low spin.
