Last year, in an effort to improve the capability of our forums, we switched to new software. We expected tremendous scalability and rapid customization that would significantly improve each Member's experience across multiple devices and integrate flawlessly with social media platforms.

Unfortunately, after a significant capital expense, we have decided that the length of time and the additional cost to reach our goals make this enterprise untenable.

Thus, we have made the difficult decision to transition the forums to our original software platform. We’re excited that, in the nearly two years since we began the process of our most recent switch, our original platform has been upgraded significantly, and we are confident that the reversion will not only provide the stability that we desperately needed prior to our last move but will also return to the Membership the high level of customization that made our online community so great. We have also added technical resources to the GolfWRX staff that will allow us to build custom modules and modifications that we are confident will take the forums to the next level.

We remain the world's largest online golf community, and we still hold true to our core values and mission statement as written in 2005. Bearing both of those elements in mind, being the best and offering our Members a platform that is world-class are both requirements, not options, and it is that spirit that has motivated this decision.

So, please pardon our mess over the next five days or so while we transition the forums.

A few important notes: Current content will be accessible during that time, but the forums will be READ ONLY, and you will not be able to start new threads or reply to posts or PM's. We know this is inconvenient, and we apologize, and we greatly appreciate GolfWRXers bearing with us through the transition.

We are very excited about starting this next chapter for GolfWRX and getting back to the high-quality Member experience we all expect as soon as possible.

For those with the F9 driver with different combinations of the weights (i.e. not the stock 14g and 2g set up), do you feel like you gain both increased accuracy and speed, one or the other or just better overall feeling? I've got the F9 and it's the longest driver I've ever hit but could use a little more accuracy... is going 14g 14g the move?

While 4 grams of extra weight up front doesn’t seem like much, I’ve had better control with the 6g (f) and 14g (b) combo. Flight, distance and feel almost identical just more consistent with the 6-14 setup.

Same as said above. I’m playing mine now at 7.5 degrees and 10g in front with 14g in the back. For me it got my ball flight down, and much more consistent accuracy. We will see how it translates to the course but early indications on the range are promising.

Good to hear that adding additional weight will help dispersion. Interested to see if clubhead speed will go up and spin down. Tbd.

I'm still on standard weights but have a tiny bit of lead tape below the weights. Set up ready for tomorrow with lowest loft setting, 2g front and 14g back. I'll let you know but so far this thing deffo has possibilities.

This is my setup, but I have considered ordering an 18 to give me some flight adjustment options. This is ultimately me just tinkering, because the tour with 2-14’s is the longest and straightest driver I have ever owned.

Awesome to hear. Mine is cut down to the "tour length" as well and just need some dispersion help at this point. Fingers crossed!

It has been some time since I first toyed with the F9 and I believe I have found the right set up. It only took three different F9s and a lot of patience and tinkering! I really had to work through the different weight combinations along with the right shaft. For example, the stock offering with the 14g and 2g weights didn't work for me at all. My SS was up but the ball went nowhere. It was simply too light regardless of which shaft I tried. Over the past few months I have tried all of the different weights and front/rear combinations and finally found my personal winner. Tour-length AD IZ 6X with 14g weight in the back and 10g weight up front with an additional 4g tape up front, so essentially 14g and 14g. It launches high and spin stays right near 2000 rpm. Also, with regard to the shorter shaft, I think I am actually hitting it longer than with a standard length shaft simply by virtue of hitting the ball more squarely. Long story short, try some of the heavier weight combinations or tinker with lead tape. Don't give up on the F9. It's so good once dialed in.

Still trying to get hold of some weights to dabble with. At the moment i'm still undecided between the heavy weight back and the lowest loft, versus forward weight with more loft. Serious club either way.

Rather than ordering weights I just sent mine out to Will Peoples and had him hot melt to D6 like I do with all of my drivers and fairways. Thing is nasty long and super forgiving. I thought I flat out lost one off the heel on 18 this weekend and ended up 295 on the left hand side of the fairway. I expect to lose 20+ yards on those shots normally but this face is hot from virtually anywhere. Love it. Going to take something special in 2020 to kick it out of the bag.

Whilst the F9 has been ok for me, the F9 Rickie 4 iron has been a revelation. Distance of a 2 iron with the height of a 4 iron. A lot more versatile than a traditional driving iron for me.

Still gaming the F9. It's been a revelation this season in terms of long, straight bombs that just cancel out the advantage the longer hitters had over me. Sneaky long with this. New irons and wedges at the end of the year so I will continue with this in the bag. Such a well balanced club.

I am still using the F9. Probably one of the most consistent drivers (also maybe finding the right shaft for my swing) I have hit in a long time. I will always try a new driver or two when they come out, but I plan to use this next season as well, until something else better comes along. This was probably my most CONSISTENT driving season ever. The only way I replace this driver is if I find something that is as accurate as this one is, plus 10 more yards of distance.

The clubs in my signature are pretty much the same clubs I ended the year with but aren't the SAME clubs I ended the year with. Played last tournament Sept. 30th, traded my iE1's in for G400's and played them for two weeks. Didn't like them, sold them and bought another set of iE1's. Guy who bought the iE1's came back and bought my Glide ES58 so I then bought a Glide 2.0 ES58. Stupid thing is I cam out about $200 ahead when it was all said and done.

I just bought a F9 with a Atmos Tour Blue 6 stiff shaft and hit it on the sim; I get nowhere close to the distance numbers I get out of my reg length M4/Matrix White Tie reg flex. I've yet to update the weights on the head to occammodate for the shaft change...

Shot dispersion is incredibly tight though.

While I loved my F9 and didn't think I'd get rid of it...as soon as there was even a whiff of a new Cobra driver I sold it. Value was already plummeting and a new release...the thing is going to be worth like $50

Yeah I was able to pick this one up for $150; so I figured why not try it since that's what everyone raved about for this year's crop. Need to get to an indoor or heated booth and hit it more to figure out if it's going to usurp the M4 or if I'm going to re-sell.

I am playing the F9 fairway woods and irons. I removed the ARCCOS grips and installed MCC grips, much better, and that shortened it about 1/4". The irons improved immensely with the grip change, just awesome. I have a lot of irons and these are my favorites so far.

Although the SpeedZone looks fantastic, the initial reviews made the purchase of a newly-discounted F9 a no brainer. I got a white Tour Length through DDs. I'm only on the sim now but excited to see how it goes up against my M5 at 9 degrees. Probably start with the weight forward and then see what kind of dispersion I can get before playing with the loft and weights.

It's a serious PITA to update the sig as much as we change things around here. I used to have all my stuff in my sig and got so much grief for it, I narrowed it down to two sets, which is still no accurate. I may grab any set when I go out to play. It just depends on my mood. Been playing the LTD/MP5 set recently. But looking at moving to the ST190/MP5 set in 2020.
