My first year volunteering and I'm on the practice range! Got to see Cameron Champ hit some yesterday. Don't know how long the range is but he hit something in the back twice. Saw Butch too, did he lose some weight?

Having Spieth there playing adds a different dimension to it. Really hope to see him back to his best soon.

I like this tournament because I’ve played the course several times. It’s fun to see what the pros can do to holes I struggle with.

It did just make me think there, everyone getting crazily excited about Cameron Champ...at the age he is at now, Spieth had two majors, the Fed Ex Cup, World #1 a bunch of other tour wins under his belt, makes you realise that we perhaps haven't appreciated just how good Spieth has been and hopefully will be again.

Nice, do you know how long the practice range is?

Not exactly but I think it is at least 350 or more. There are tees on both ends and the west tee is often used by touring pros. Occasionally some balls end up on the front of the main east practice tee. Of course that tee is about 75 yards long.

Amazing that Spieth is only 25 but this is already his 7th season on tour.

Spieth T-4 to after the first round. Not a bad start at all to his new season.
