Sigma 2 Putter Grip

Since the putter grip is adjustable length, how do you go about replacing it? It will be needed at some point. Will ping be selling these grips seperately? Has anyone tried removing the grip in order to replace it with another one?

As long as the hole in the bottom of the grip your using to replace it is in the same position, shouldn't be an issue. I know a lot of the Superstrokes and Winns do line up. The Scotty Matador's do not.

why would you need to adjust your putter....im still thinking this is a gimmick....love ping but I am not sure anyone will adjust their putter, much like their drivers once they are dialed in

putting is such a feel thing that i think it would be nice at times to adjust a putters length on the practice green before a round. some days an inch one way or the other could be all the difference in making one more putt.

It could possibly help when changing putting grips but yeah once someone find one that works they wont change it. Must be for more of the easy custom fitting options while buying the club, once again similar to drivers.

It’s adjustable so they don’t have to make putters in different lengths. Set it to your preferred length and forget it unless you like to tinker with that sort of thing.

It's mainly for fitting. Even if you go to get custom fit, how many shaft lengths do they have? Maybe 33", 34", and 35"? The Sigma 2 will let you have 16 different length options between 32" and 36".

Any grip will work on these putters. Its not a special grip. Its a 2 part shaft that slides up and down.

Fitting yes but it’s a really great production move as well. Now they don’t have to make putters at different lengths and retailers won’t have to wait on sales for people seeking specific lengths.

Do these putters have adjustable weights in the heads? Or is it a matter of a weight in the butt moving in or out with the grip? How do they handle the swingweight changes?

I also thought fitting was done at the time of purchase, so why would you need to lengthen or shorten your putter? I think this is a marketing miss

Most golfers putt with wrong length putter. Great idea and much better than their previous adjustable putter. Also as much tinkering as golfers on here do this makes it for sure easier when you are experimenting with length on a putter.

It was painful to watch this guy totally destroy a perfectly good grip. Air is the way to go.
