Cameron trisole Newport circle t-real or fake?

TKellogg86TKellogg86 Members Posts: 218 ✭✭
I started to look into my first circle t putter and I came across this one. It appears to be an older one but is this an authentic circle t?from my research it looks good to me but I’m no pro.

Why twice T circle back and front on putter?

    Please don’t post incorrect information....

Scotty Cameron has been stamping multiple Circle Ts on putters for years. And just because it doesn’t look beat up and abused doesn’t mean it’s a fake putter.

OP, it looks like a legit putter. Only thing is the sole may have been ground down looking at the thinness of the bumpers from back cavity view. This could have been done to help achieve a certain weight for a player.

Please stop posting. Circle T means that someone in the Acushnet staff stamped a Circle T stamp on a putter. It could have been a tour demo putter, a backup putter, a doorholder, a backscratcher or whatever.

Im fine with you thinking its fake, but please say why regarding to the aestetics of the putter and not your idea of every tour putter must have been played til it cracks.

So if a Pro gets a Circle T from Cameron and doesn't play it, the putter automatically becomes fake. Got it, thanks!

Why would you put a baseless guess about authenticity in this thread? You're doing a great disservice to the OP and the community.

Lots of Circle T's have the CT logo twice and lots of tour putters have been kept as wall hangers. You're 100% wrong on both of those things being a factor in authenticity.

DL3 predominately has played a Newport. 90% of those putters are Newports. It's a different model. The putter in the OP is inquiring about is a Newport 2. There was one photo of a Newport 2 in the whole DL3 thread and it looks very similar to this putter.

This is an authentic CT putter. The proof is the hand stamped Titleist script.

The sole grind was done before the bumper stamping as you can see by the mushrooming of the stamping.

I will agree with this observation, but having that Titleist script stamp swings it back toward the legitimate side, for me, as well. Did the seller offer any idea as to the headweight on this bad boy? As thin as those bumpers have been made, she can't be packing the 350 grams that most are misinformed is the "TOUR WEIGHT".

That being said, you may actually have a nice stick that will allow you to truly feel the putt.

I'll be interested to hear how this one looks and feels, when it arrives. The older stuff was always more fun that then new stuff that is stamped for collector's sake and never saw any use in the hands of a pro.

    Best of luck,

An opinion is just that, not a fact so someone proffering an opinion does so because they don’t actually know.

Definitely looks real. I agree with Josh those back bumpers look thin.

If the sole has been ground down, my question is, was this a heavier head that Cameron ground down to 340g, or it left Cameron at 340 then was ground down aftermarket?

It looks legitimate. Please, there's no such thing as a Circle T putter, Circle T is just a stamp.

There are many Made for the Tour putters without the CT stamp.

1000% real, jeez some people like to cause confusion for no reason. Looks like it was refinished to some degree with the face left alone, that's original. Doesn't look like there's any mushrooming on the bumper stamps, they are def thinner than usual. Looks cool. Love the simple stamping. One could assume that this 340g was actually 344ish and ground down a shade to make it close to 340. Pure conjecture though. Buy it son.
