Square head vs. Mallet head SAM Puttlab

Hey there, j tried searching for this and couldn't get an answer, I was on a sam puttlab yesterday and with my stroke with not much rotation it recommended "square/mallet" as the putter to use. What exactly is a "square" head compared to a mallet, I would've assumed they're the same?

Prolly a silly question but consider me confused haha.

Thanks!

My first guess would be your stroke is square (Straight back straight through) and they're recommending a mallet because of that?

All in all though you can get any putter you want with any amount of toe hang, so you should in theory be able to use whatever style of putter heads you desire just one with the appropriate amount of toe hang for your stroke
