Building setup for 5/6yo

My daughter just turned 6 and has a textbook swing...its just that she weighs all of nothing and while she makes great contact, the ball just doesn't go anywhere. I am trying to slowly build in a set and trying to figure out what clubs are best for her.

Right now she is using the USKids UL set (Driver, 7i and PW) but I just ordered a used Cobra F6 driver and Flynn shaft for her to try out...hoping to squeeze a few extra yards off the tee for her. She is good with the USK irons but needs a more lofted wedge for sure.

Anyone have suggestions for super light clubs that actually create some pop? I really don't want to put anything too heavy in her hands and mess up the swing.

Any thoughts on ladies or kids ball options that maybe fly a bit more?

Ok. Just had her first run with the cobra f6 driver w Flynn shaft and it’s not even close to her old USK driver. Immediately see more pop in the face and probably launching 15-20yds longer. My daughter literally couldn’t stop swinging the new club, even though it’s probably a few inches too long and maybe a tad heavy for her.

She could feel the difference right away. First swing out she turned around beaming at me after firing one out farther than she ever had. No more USK drivers. All oem from here on out.

No need to mess with building a set for kids anymore this especially true if your kid is right handed. If your kid is left handed you might have too because it just hard to find clubs for them and you might have no choice.

I can see the need to buy the Tour Series clubs for US kids pretty quickly but the profession after this should be women clubs which is very light and has a soft flex. Women I think average less then 60 mph on the driver so there is a good chance you go strait to senior shafts anyways if the kid has any strength at all.

If you buying a junior shaft and putting a OEM club on it your wasting a ton of time and money. Emphasis should be on just playing with the better kids clubs. I see a lot people think that getting them a OEM driver is going to give a big advantage and that is simply not true. if your kid is swinging 45 -55 mph the problem is the speed of the swing and not club.

Have to disagree with el Tigre. Daughters new (old) f6 cobra driver is literally light years better than the usk driver she was using. It’s not even remotely close. Same smooth swing but she is pushing 20+ yards more. That’s not a wrx 20...but a legit 20...which is even a bigger ratio considering it’s from 50-60 yard drives to 75-80. That’s a lot for 44” and 35 pounds!

The thing it’s not just me that notices. SHE can tell...and now all she wants to do is mash the driver.

Her coach actually agreed and said all his kids are now moving away from the usk drivers into oem versions. He has trackman setup, but we didn’t even need it to tell the difference. It’s visually obvious

My 8 year old hits his XR16/recoil a minimum of 10 yards further than his TS3. Maybe that doesn’t sound like much, but call it 7.5% further. Tack 7.5% onto the average adult driver of, say , 235 (if everyone were honest) and that is nearly a 20 yard gain. Lot of people would pay a pretty penny for a 20 yard gain. Hardly a waste of time and money I would say. Everything else being equal that extra yardage = closer proximity= less putts= lower score.

Not to mention I got the XR16 on ebay for $70, shaft for $25, $8 cut and regrip. New TS3 is $189 retail. I will get at least another season out of the XR16 with a reshaft, otherwise would need to size up to TS3 for another $189. Would pay that if it were a better club but, for us at least, it is not.
