Anyone hear anything about the Z Star and Z Star XV balls coming out early next year? Curious as to how they are going to tweak them especially the XV.

i know that the price on stars has dropped to 29.99/dozen. that is an amazing deal. i have heard the new ball is supposedly great but and i am sure it will be. Not sure how they could improve much though.

Yeah once I saw the price drop I knew it was only a matter of time. I agree both the Z Stars are great and if they improve them further and keep the buy 3 get one free deal going, one of them will be my ball in 2019

No need to try and improve the ball IMO. I will be happy to buy bulk 2017 model for $20 a dozen for the next 2 years!! :golfer:

Yep, my bad. Should have read the OP a little more closely. OP asked about the Z Star specificllay and I was thinking Q Star line update that released in the Fall when I posted.

Love the Srixon balls. Can't wait to try the new ones.

Just saw on Twitter (and confirmed on the Srixon website) that the new Z-Star and Z-Star XV are now both available in white and your yellow in the Srixon website. Still retailing at $39.99 per dozen.

100% truth. It’s a bit like Bed, bath, and beyond. Does ANYONE actually shop there without a 20% off coupon??

The only reason I even discovered the XV and love it is the $9.95 6 ball trial packs.

I’ve got 20 dozen in the closet at $20 a dozen. I would NEVER Pay $40 a dozen....for any ball...ever.

Are there any $20 per dozen deals out there for the old version of the Z-Star? I've only seen $30 deals so far.

I played a round with the Q-Star tour today, very good ball. I'm playing the Z-Star this year, but the Q-Star is a pretty good ball. Picked up a dz for $20 last month. A little bit softer than the Z, but my distances were about the same. Greens were were too soft to judge spin.

PGA tour superstore, at the front check out counter they had the trial 6 packs of 2019 Z star for 10 dollars

Been playing the XV for 4 years. I cant wait to try out this years model. Sounds like they really perfected it.

My thoughts echo yours. If there was a Z-Star "X" between the standard and XV, game over for me. I'm really excited to try the new Z-Star, my club has tiny greens and shots around them require loads of spin.

BOOOOM ! Glad i'm not alone.......

Not Srixon specific....but many of the Non "X" versions of the current top-end / 4-piece / Urethane balls are a little soft, mushy feeling, spinny......and the X versions a little hard feeling,sounding and don't inspire confidence around the greens i normally play. Not to mention being a little 'rocky' off the putter.

Not sure if its just me who's 'sensitive' - but i could do with - and would welcome - a halfway house across many brands.

Kinda hoping the new higher compression and supposedly longer (But not silly firm) TP5 fits that bill.

4 dzn XV on its way to me. Should be here on Thursday! (Now heaven only knows when the next time I can get out onto the course will be, :( )
