2019 Bag Help - Fairway & Hybrid

Measured the boy today and looks like we'll be sizing up sooner than later. Was hoping I could wait until spring! Currently playing TS3-51" SW-5i,hyb,3w. We've been pleased with the TS3 Irons so will be going with TS3-54" Iron set P-5 (and probably wedges too). He has played XR16 Driver (13.5*) with Recoil es440 F1 Shaft over past year with success. We'll probably stick with that and go longer in the shaft.

I am considering moving toward OEM Fairway & Hybrids. He played the TS3-51" FW & Hyb decent/ok...but wasn't ever that impressed with them. I've poured through some past threads on fairways and PM'd some of you directly, but it hasn't been discussed in a while so will throw it back out. Looking for experience & recommendations with specific OEM FW & Hybrids.

1.) What FW & Hyb do you recommend & why? Others that you dont?

2.) Anything to consider when moving from USKG TS to OEM Fairways & hybrids (i.e. -weight, loft, special shaft considerations, etc.)?

3.) Shafts...go heavier than driver? Currently has Recoil ES 440 F1 in Driver. I have an extra I bought to size up to his driver , thinking I can use the one currently in his driver for his next fairway.

Son is 8. Decent player. I am not sure what his swing speed is, but he can hold his own in driver distance at USKG regional & world events we've played....so I would say average for that level of player.

I'm a big fan of adjustable hybrids/woods for couple of reasons.

1. Distance gapping.

2. Reusable heads when junior gets taller.

My daughter has a Cobra fairway wood and hybrids. She really likes them and doesn’t have any issues with the weight. The Callaway XR driver is very light which is good for your son. One suggestion is to look st the fairway wood and hybrid in the same family. My son had an XR fairway wood and loved it. You can get the cheap on Callaway pre owned or eBay and stick a good shaft in it.

Great point, I’ve been looking at the XR16 and also the Big Bertha Fusion (women’s). BB Fusion seems to have a little extra help with off the deck shots and apparently the head in the women’s version is a little lighter as well.

My 9.5yo is using the first gen M1 3W and very happy with it. Adjustable hosel so I've just put in his older driver shaft when he outgrows the current one. Also since it has adjustable weights on the bottom you can add or remove weights as needed to get the right feel. Currently has a Flynn shaft.

He's also using a 2nd gen M2 5W with the stock lady shaft cut down and it's his favorite club in the bag. Swing weight is perfectly in line with the 3W.

He's also using a TS3 Hybrid which he is very happy with.

He's short still, only 49.5' tall and using TS3 51" irons.

Just bought myself a new Rogue driver from there about an hour ago and I've purchased from the site before. The items more often than not come in better condition than advertised.
