How durable are Odyssey O-Works putters?

How durable are Odyssey O-Works putters? When I look at them, they look to me the face will wear fairly fast.

I have owned one putter since 1989 and possibly looking to change.

If you keep a head cover on it, the face is the least of your worries.

    Is this a real question?

Anyone ever wore out a putter? I can't see a putter face/insert being worn out, unless use it like a driver, a lot!

Putting/short game always been my strongest part of my game, however, with my tired old eyes, I have hard time lining up my putter in the shade without alignment aide.

My putter is black and without alignment dot or line. I might send it to continental for refinishing or add alignment dot or line. This putter is going into the grave with me. LOL

Lol. Well to answer your actual question..

I've had an oworks putter with the "meshlike" insert cover for over 2 years. I have not had issues with it but others have. I take care of my stuff tho. I would imagine that if you don't keep the cover on the putter or you're rough with the putter then you'll have issues.

Apparently callaway is replacing oworks inserts with microhinge inserts if the oworks insert fails.

I have a friend who has had the same putter since... IDK early 1970's?

He's worn through the grip... tape, paint, and I don't doubt the steel now conforms to his fingers.

    I think he's pretty unique.

    Comparisons are odious.

Odyssey putters hold up well. Any putter you take care of holds up well.

Use a headcover. Dont slam or throw your clubs. Look at the putter...is there grass or dirt on it?? If yes, wipe it off prior to putting the cover back on.
