Now the goal here is to NOT argue amongst the OP's about what you think...possibly valid points. It's more about what thread topic or comment gets you all riled-up to write-up a long response, then you think...Ahhh...that might not be a good idea...or....I'll get 1,204 angry notifications...or maybe it's the Tequila talking?

The goal is also for this topic to survive at least two days before being locked.

I review for snarkiness, sarcasm, insulting commentary, smart arse perceptions, etc. If the post has any of those elements in it, the post button is pushed. If not, back to the drawing board.

^^^^^^^^^^This. I never really got the point in asking club opinions when a vast majority of the time it all comes down to personal preference. I like watching video reviews but there are so many variables that are in play with literally every single shot and so many individual preferences and ideologies about any piece of equipment that these threads are essentially useless and always end in responses containing which club the poster plays.

That being said I am still guilty of responding to them

^^^^^^^^^^This. I never really got the point in asking club opinions when a vast majority of the time it all comes down to personal preference. I like watching video reviews but there are so many variables that are in play with literally every single shot and so many individual preferences and ideologies about any piece of equipment that these threads are essentially useless and always end in responses containing which club the poster plays.

Not to mention every person in the various hdcp, age, swing speed group swings different and what works for one may not work for another.

but how else can i tell everyone im super awesome at golf without that being the only point?

1. How close scratch players are to PGA Tour players.

2. Am’s wanting to turn professional, then wanting to get their Am status back

3. Pebble Beach blows. I wouldn’t play it for free.

4. Blades are best for beginners. Teaches them to hit the ball better.

5. I gifted payment, now what?

All of these topics brings out the best.

"Blades vs CBs". I've seen more locked topics than any other topic thread.

How about a topic like "I played several rounds last year - need help with the sand wedge"?

Or the profile shows a 2 hcp....and the question is about how to line-up putts?

I guess the worse one for me is the +1 handicap that comes onto a forum and asks for swing help, when he's already seeing a swing instructor and has been for the past 2 years.

And then complains that in his last round his swing was so bad that he almost quit the round but hung in there to shoot a 71.
