I used to purchase quite a bit of gear of all types on eBay. I was very satisfied with my golf purchases. I think on the whole that golfers are an honest bunch, perhaps because the rules of our game require self-monitoring.

But then a couple of things went awry. My account was hacked, which was discouraging. And then I made a purchase that was not as described ...no need to recount the details of that unpleasant transaction. It wasn’t golf related, but both events turned me off eBay.

Now I only buy from known retailers, both on and off line.

Love Ebay. Hate the seller fees. Gotta be cautious too in counterfeits and scammers from over seas.

I’ve dabbled in eBay over the years (feedback in the middle 300’s I think, much like here, you get feedback for about 1/2 your transactions), but now use it only to sell. Older stuff sells much better there than here. I don’t worry much about the fees since you can charge for shippinig.

But for buying golf equipment, it’s almost exclusively here now.

We do buy a lot of parts on eBay though.

I’ve been having much better luck selling on eBay than here lately. Which sucks, because I’d much rather the opposite be true. I almost exclusively sell buy it now with a best offer option, so I just kind of bear the eBay fees in mind when I’m negotiating. Plus shipping is much easier to account for there.

The BST here is tough to sell on lately which sucks. Listings are gone off the first page in a couple of hours due to the multiple duplicate posts and outrageous number of pinned ads, mostly by non-contributing pay members.

For my hobby I’ve got 600 items listed for sale on ebay at any given time and have sold probably 5000 items in the last ten years. Any specific ebay questions that you are looking to get answered?

I used to sell on eBay but the fees are too high now. I buy items on eBay on a regular basis. I find the deals there about as good as I can get anywhere else and most of the shipping is very fast. I’m

I have about 50 things for sale on eBay at any given time, from household junk to golf stuff. The fees stink, of course, but you can't beat how many people see your stuff. I buy a ton too and have had a couple of horror stories, but in the end it's all worked out fine. Though I only buy balls and clothes, golf-wise, never clubs.

eBay has its good days. I usually only list items on there at top line prices to gauge interest and then if nothing continue to reduce until you factor in closing costs/shipping or decide to list it on BST. Seems to me on BST if you don't have a model relatively new or rare it doesn't move unless you've priced it to lose your rear.

eBay: Buy = Yes: Sell = No.

I used to sell a lot including a vehicle and some high end items. It’s a last resort for selling these days due to the fees and zero support for sellers.

I buy and sell mostly on Facebook. No problems so far. Ebay and BST on occasions

I buy and sell on the BST and only buy on eBay. Managed to get a brand new set of Mizuno MP-18 MMC 5-PW with my preferred shafts for $399 (free shipping) on eBay...so great deals from reputable sellers can still be had. If the seller has good feedback and a lot of it, then I will buy. Have passed up a lot of deals from sellers with very little feedback or 98% feedback.
