One of the best shafts around, IMO. I had a set of Ben Hogan Edge CFT's with 3 (regular) flex which i had no idea what that meant. I placed one in my 6-iron at 37.5" and got the best results and could be aggressive with my swing, experimenting with trajectory at ~185 yards. It gave such an amazing feel, way better than the S300! It was awkward going back to the other regular-flexed irons 20 or so grams lighter though.

If you have a Driver swing speed of 105, do you think X100 would be a bit too strong for me in my irons? I like to go after my iron s pretty hard and I have a quick swing for what it worth. Also if I tend to fight a Hook, from my regular flex in my MP32 irons. Do you think this will give me a better dispersion and lesser Hook action?

I know these are a lot of questions, thanks for your advice in advance.

You need to try an s300 first, x100 will probably be too much... But get those regulars flex out of there

I've had PX 5.5, 6.0, & 6.5. But, I went to DGX100s and found my game. Granted I tried DG's SL, HL and a few others before feeling comfortable. Nippons also felt good, but didn't work for the tight dispersion I want. The KBS ball flight was hard for me to dial in. I am a feel player who goes hard at pins with the shortest club I can. These keep it lower thru the wind and hold the greens.

I have had sensicore s300's but not in the x100. Great feeling shaft and would recommend it to anybody. Seems like Sensicore X100's would be the next step for me.

The sensicore is a big difference from what I remember. Very smooth, less vibrations on misses.

While the sensicores feel peachy and all, when I hit a toe ball I want that feedback, when its 2 grooves to low I want that feedback. It seems like it would be like driving a sportscar with a mushy steering feel, not for me.

I understand your point but with a shaft as stiff as x100's are, I want them to be as soft and mushy as possible. Stiff enough to keep up with the swing, but dampend through impact.

Oldish thread but I just fitted some X100's to my Ping S57 Irons. Originally they had the ZZ's.

So far I'm thrilled with the feel. Maybe I'm still in the honeymoon phase but I like:

a) The extra weight.

b) Flight seems the same except in 3 and 4 which seems lower.

c) From what I can tell I've picked up around 10' on my 8 iron. I might have just been swinging harder cause I was excited with having new toys ;-)

d) Not as sharp a feel to off centre hits as the ZZ's. This could be a side effect of the extra weight.

I'm happy so far :-)

I purchased a new set of Bridgestone Combo irons this spring and they came with PX 5.5's. They generally feel dead and seem to not go anywhere.
During a lesson, my teacher let me try his pw and 7 iron with DG S300's. Oh my, what a difference. Lively more boring trajectory with more distance. I am replacing the PX's with S300's tomorrow.

Can someone help me with these question? What is sensicore (padded material)? Can it be retrofitted into a shaft that doesn't have it? What advantages are gained if any from this? Thanks in advanced.

I got into PX a few years ago, started with 5.5 and went to 6.5. I'm kinda steep so I end up bending the tips on the PX. Every single PX shaft I've had in a club, the tip has bent. Went back to DG and decided to try out the X100. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL OF MY LIFE?!??!! Best shaft ever, piercing flight with great feel and distance.
