Cracked M2

Anybody else experience this? We cracked the crown of an M2. It was interesting. It's about an inch long and right along where the titanium face structure ends under the carbon fiber crown. I figure they have bonded it under there, which is tough to do. But the bond didn't fail - the laminate did. I used to design/build aircraft and satellite parts so I'm familiar (and impressed) with how this head is probably put together.

If purchased new within the last two years and if you have a receipt as proof, then it is under warranty. You can contact TM or take the club to an authorised TM retailer.

I had a 2016 M2 head and it had hairline cracks near the alignment aid on the top of the crown. TM replaced it but with the 2017 model which to me isn't as good as the 2016. But great customer service and had the new head in about 3 days.

I had exactly the same with a 2017 M2. Strangest thing was that it arrived like that! The club was ordered and when it arrived I hit a few balls and it just didn’t feel right at all. On closer inspection it had an inch crack at the join.

In fairness to TM they replaced it straight away and couldn’t have been nicer. I’ve had the replacement (k serial number, which I believe was an updated batch design) ever since and it’s brilliant.

I caved in the face on a 2016 M2 3 wood and they sent replacement. I'm not a fan of anything TM really, but I'll certainly vouch for their excellent customer service.

Clearly, the multi-material heads featuring carbon fiber are less durable and more prone to 'cracking' than 100% Titanium heads...Therefore nobody should be surprised see 'M' Series heads cracking far more often than TM's older Titanium clubheads.

Definitely old news unless you've been living under a rock since the release of the original M series! 2016 series was terribly prone, 2017 was seemingly much better, 2018 I've cracked 3 for 3 so they regressed back structurally IMO.

There was no 2018 M2.

What about the M3/M4 being available February 1, 2018 makes them not qualify as 2018 “M series”?
