Tommy Armour 845 Silver Scot SW

I put the 845's back in the bag and was thinking about getting a matching sand wedge to go along with the irons. Anybody have any previous experience with the 845 SW? I realize you can get one for $20 so no big gamble, just asking.

Played those for years, awesome clubs. You shouldn't have any issues with the SW as there's nothing special or unique about it that would cause you any problems. I played the 2 - LW and they were all super easy to hit, very forgiving.

My gamer irons are all 845s which includes a Gap Wedge and Sand Wedge. I liked the pulled heel profile on the sole so can open the face and make high and soft pitch shots. With proper technique, it can hold its own against the Vokeys and the other expensive wedges with those fancy milled faces. Durable as hell since it's cast.

still have an 845 and 855 SW.

one graphite and one steel.

the 855 was a better stick for flop shots.

then pulled the DynaPower out of storage.

I started playing them in 2003...way past their heyday but still can be relevant if their grooves where conforming. They heads are of great quality since they're made in the US of A.
