Favorite single length set?

What is your favorite brand/model? Thinking about trying some out.

Custom builds welcome. If you have played multiple sets and can compare between them that would be great

sterlings, played the cobra f8 last few months, thought big oem would be better sterlings just work better for me, bear in mind both were off the shelf, 36.5 length fits better for me

Wishon Sterling is my favorite because of the performance (high COR long to mid irons and the soft steel short irons to wedges). I also tried Edel SL and Cobra Forged One, both of which I preferred the looks.

I've only hit Sterlings. I've had them in the bag for 2 years now and have never, ever looked back. I never touched my traditional irons (a very new set of Pings) again.

I don't want to hit the longer Cobras. I like the 36.5" Sterlings. (You can build them longer.) Edel is hard because of a lack of fitters.

I started with the Sterlings and really like them. I got my son a set of Cobra F7s and he loves them. I tried them and now I am playing the F7s and Cobra woods. I am going to get fit for the new F9s from Cobra as soon as they are available. I think we owe Tom Wishon and Cobra a big Thank You for bringing One Lengths to us. I am really grateful that Cobra continues to work on the One Lengths. The F9s will be their 3rd generation, which to me shows me the commitment of Cobra to the One Length market. I think all of us One Length players should work extra hard to introduce others to the concept. The easiest way I have found to do that is just hand someone my 5 iron on the driving range. I think One Lengths can help a lot of people, especially new people to the game, enjoy it more. The end goal for all of us is to get more people to play golf and I think all of us can help that happen by sharing our One Lengths with others.

I built a set of sterlings when they came out, tried the red graphite shaft in regular but it was too stiff liked the concept, also had trouble with the gw, sw. Struggled this year with irons, bought a set of cobra f7 with steel shafts on eBay as they are cheap right now. Played a few rounds, loved them even the gw and sw. I have 7-sw. Picked up a set of cobra max one length with graphite 6-sw and like them equally. So going to decided which one to keep and then test them against the speedbacks so as my local store has the fitting cart in. I tried the one length f8 hybrid in 4 and 5 and didn’t like the look, feel and distance.

I would go with cobra because there are so many sets out there that people buy, don’t stick with them and then sell them. New I would still go with cobra. The sterling are nice but overpriced, putting a set together will cost as much as a set of cobras.
