What Would You Buy Your Golfing Buddy for Xmas?

If you bought a present for someone you play golf with...what would it be? A training aid, new irons, driver, lessons,a bag, tee time at a once-in-a-lifetime course?

Golf balls and a golf hat of whatever brand he uses.

Gift?? Shite, he's lucky he gets to play with me! ;)

We often give our buddies stuff we get that we don't need so we don't go out of our way for this kind of stuff.

I bought my buddies last year gift coupons from the gas station right next to our club.

On the cards I wrote:

"I thought you could use some help with your driving"

If you buy something to do with golf, you'll always have to listen to:

"The balls you gave me don't fly straight" etc...

A "Quit Smoking" program.

I'm forever in the "I'll buy my own golf stuff" camp, but if I'm using that list and picking between a training aid and a tee time at Augusta I might have a preference...

I like to buy my own golf stuff, so, I'd go for hard cash, golf store gift card or those gift cards that are linked/associated with/thru credit cards.

Golf etiquette book

For my best friend who I play with almost every time, a rules book! But really, I'd probably find something apparel related that crosses over with an interest of his. Either that or maybe some personalized balls. My frequent partners would get cigars or maybe something to use on course.

This year I got him a set of ball markers from his college, a polo and hat.
