Best all around Driving irons? Whats you opinion?

I am looking to add 2 iron for 2019, what do you think is the the most well rounded 2 iron on the market right now?

I've tried just about all of them besides the cobra DI, the srixon z u85 is the best. Forgiveness, feel, and distance is as good or better than anything else. Big fan of the p790 udi as well, but forgiveness isn't even close to the srixon.

For the price, I’d still consider the Mizuno MP-fli hi. They’re dirt cheap in very good condition on the bHey all the time.

I second that. Played the 790 UDI breifly but went back to U45 because of the forgiveness factor.

I will second the FliHI Have had a couple over the years and the old ones and new ones play very similar. Pretty versatile considering how large the sole is.

I love my GAPR lo. Had a few wet weeks in CA so I turned it up to its highest loft and will turn it back down when it dries out. I think its pretty forgiving too.

Still playing an mp h5 2 iron. Really fun to hit off a tee and feels awesome! Fli Hi and Srixon are the two I find feel most like the irons and are fairly easy to work the flight a little.

U45/U65/U85 will be tough to beat in overall performance. Forgiving, easy to launch, and great feel.

Guess I'm just to old school, as I'm still gaming my Bridgestone Airmuscle.

The Fli-Hi was excellent for me, but the relative usefulness compared to a hybrid or FW just wasn’t worth it. I don’t have the speed...

Just got a P790 UDI with a DG X100 (Same as my irons) and it fits my gap perfect. I can hit any distance between 225 and 250 carry no problem. Almost too straight and super forgiving. It is going to be a weapon for me next year both off the tee and coming into par 5's. Super pumped to get to hit it next year

I’m super happy with the Tour Edge CBX iron wood right now. I have the 17 and 19 degree versions with HZRDUS black shaft.

... I have played the Exotics CBX, Srixon U45, Wilson FG Tour, Adams DHy, UDi and Cobra Utility. For me the Cobra Utility is the best all around DI because it does everything well. That said, I play the original UDi 20* bent to 19* because I am not looking for best all around DI, just best off the tee on windy days.

Srixon U45. Mizzuno MP-H5 are the top 2 I'd start with. Both easy to hit. Both are good-looking as well.

Had Maltby HDI that I couldn't hit consistently especially off the deck but my King utility is great from any lie.

The Srixon gets my vote....Just so versatile and easy to hit.

I went through a bunch of driving irons... until P790 UDI. Everyone needs a new shaft in it though. Ended up with Tensei white TX.

Srixon---65 or 85......

I can't believe no one had mentioned the TMB. I thought it was the most iron like, without the thick sole, and much more playable off the deck. Mine is paired with a Pro White and works for me!

Best off of all lies for me is the 790 3i. At 19°, it's basically a 2i and it's LONG. I use the 4i and it's perfect for what I need. The OG UDI 3 is what I use off the tee. 790UDI is stupid long though.

Have played the ping G400 cross over (felt awful but went), titleist t mb (awful feeling), Taylormade p790 (great overall, mizuno mp H5 (loved the feeling) and now the mizuno mp 18 mcc fli hi which I just got. Overall distance the ping was a land slide but feel was awful. If you’re looking for an overall package tough to beat the p790 or the mizzy.

Pxg Gen 2 hands down. Like a softer sounding srixon without the offset.
