1985 Jeep Wagoneer. Got my license in 2002 driving a late 90's Kia Sportage. Ended up accidentally putting the engine fan through the radiator of the Wagoneer later that year.

Spent my savings on a car that was wrecked in the front and another that was smashed in the back. About a year of working with my Dad in the garage and it was ready to roll.

One of the best years of my life as I recall. Man I miss my Dad sometimes.

I miss those compact pickup trucks (Mitsu Mighty Max, Chevy Luv, Toyota Hi Lux, et al . . .). Don't take up such a large footprint in the driveway. Nearly all small pickups are actually midsize these days.

I learned to drive in my parents 1967 Cadillac needless to say it was kind of embarrassing when you're a teen. My father later gave me his 1957 Chevy step side with a 283 engine and 3 on the column. The first car that I bought was 1967 Chevelle SS 396 with an L78 engine and Muncie 4 speed. Next I bought a 1956 Chevy with a pumped up small block that got 4 miles per gallon. Then I owned a 1969 Camero SS, 1969 Z28 with factory cross-ram, 1970 Chevelle 454 LS6, 1963 Porsche S90, 1964 Porsche SC. Who knew that all of these cars would now be worth a small fortune.

My fathers Volvo 245(The by far most common car when and where I grew up) which had automatic geer so I had to take some driving lessons. The agency had VW Golf's and I've liked those since.

A 68 Chevy C10 step side with 3 on the tree. It was on old route 51 just north of Cobden , about 8pm in March - I remember it like yesterday. He pulled over right about here. We were coming home from an art opening on campus (SIU-Carbondale). I was 14 but confident! Drove all the way to the farm, about 6 mi.

My Father's 1956 Buick Roadmaster.....and I had to parallel park that monster to get my driver's license (passed the first time around). My Father and I had many very heated Saturday mornings with him teaching me how to parallel park. image/taunt.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':taunt:' />
