I have had friends mention that they feel the white insert to feel "jumpy" or "hot" off the face. I found at least with myself and my playing partners when adding more weight it helped with this. I added weight and the putter is lights out

2nd this. Added 12g weights and haven't looked back

Only reason I didn’t pull the trigger was you couldn’t change lie angle on the Slant neck, and didn’t know if a shop could do it without **** it up

I had my lie angle changed two upright at my local roger Dunn. Just got to tell them to slowly bend it and to apply low heat and/or a towel around the bending bar

Too scared to have anyone else touch it.
Bad experiences in clubs being nicked or ruined, and don’t even think they know what “low heat” would mean

I find the paint chipping thing puzzling.

I’ve had a red spider and blue spider x combined for over a year. Zero chips on either. I’m not saying you guys are abusing yours. But are they chipping without touching anything else ? As in mine only touch the inside of a head cover , and all the paint has stayed attached.

Back in headcover after every hole. Not sure how they got there honestly

I dont believe so. To my knowledge the white is a chalk finish with a little sheen to it. Shouldn't have any glare issues it just might be brighter than the typical Spider

How is the face holding up for you guys? I have the True Roll insert in my Ardmore and I noticed the other day some of the grooves are starting to almost "pop" up and just overall are starting to lose the straightness and shape. Possibly because I've heard that they are glued into the face? Are the inserts between the two putters identical?

I have an all white MySpider. It’s a little bit glossy, but not too bright. I’ll post pictures of it in the sun when I play tomorrow.

Currently demoing a 35" Spider X. Really liking how it feels and how it gets the ball on my intended target easily. Super stable! My issue I seem to be seeing is that alot of my putts tend to skip or bounce up off the face instead of just rolling true. I dont seem to have this problem with my current gamer which is a Seemore FGP mallet. What is the cause of this? Is it that i need loft adjusted or something? Its really causing an issue on longer putts like 10ft and beyond. It is making it hard to get my distance control down because of the skidding. Kinda stumped here

From a loft perspective, the Spider X only has half a degree more loft than your Seemore, but that's a bit of an apples-to-oranges comparison. If you're using the Seemore as they design it--with the hands back so the shaft covers the red dot on the head--then you are probably adding dynamic loft to the Spider X at impact. If you don't want to change your stroke, then removing some loft off the Spider X is something to try.

At the same time I went from a SC 35" putting front hand low, to a X 34" and hands level(opposing). Putted SO good for about 2 weeks and then started missing everything short, long, and in the middle. Grabbed a 35" Odyssey 7s and went back to front hand low and became solid again. Then a few weeks ago I grabbed another 35" X, using it front hand low and have had some of the best putting rounds of my life. Yesterday included 6 birdies from between 20 feet and 3 feet.
I think if you get the technique and length right, this is the best balanced, easiest to align putter on the market. Lastly, there are a lot of putters that allow you to put a good roll on the ball, but the X is currently top tier in this category too! There are so many great putters out there from SC, Odyssey, Ping, TM, and others but I would not trade my X for any of them.

I ordered a mallet cover from this Etsy shop.

    https://www.etsy.com/listing/706639638/sugar-skulls-golf-club-cover-golf-driver

There are a decent number of fabric choices, and it seems like they're open to doing custom stuff. I'll be sure to post pictures when the cover arrives.

The cover came today. The design and construction seem solid. My only qualm is that I wish the magnetic snap was installed such that the flap would be further closed. We'll see how it holds up.
