Is there a theory/story/gimmick behind the extreme offset blade? Never seen anything like it. Would love to demo it just to try something completely different.

Its a "training" aid per Guerin Rife. Not a lot of details on it yet as far as I know of.

Rife explains it in this interview starting at about the 13 minute mark:

Good find. Really interesting thoughts and totally makes sense about the huge amount of offset...

If it’s a training aid but USGA legal, why not game that for $149 vs the “actual”putter at double the price?

Sorry if I missed it earlier, but did they specify which will be available in lefty? Interested in the 8.3 even though I’m pretty happy with what I’ve got, guess that’s why I’m on this site.

Having an Evnroll 1.2 being made in to an arm lock putter. After reading everyone' reviews and seeing some the video's out there, I had to give one a try. I can't wait to use it, hopefully it will be my putter for 2019.

Buy the black ER5. You will not be disappointed. By far my favorite putter.

I really liked the silver ER5 I hit at Carl's, but i found the feel and sound a bit harsh. Have they softened it up a bit in the black? New steel? New finish?

Is the resale value of Evnroll as good as Scotty Cameron?

I got fit in Carlsbad a few months ago. The fitting is included with the price of the putter unless you do the video recorded thing. My fitter said he didn't recommend it because in the end, I would get the same putter so why bother paying. They use the felt roll board to get your stroke down, which is an invention there.

The fitting took about 1.5 hours total. I tried all their putters. I prefer mallets over blades but tried both, my fitter said it didn't matter which style I went with because I don't adjust my stroke to the putter which some people do, so it made no difference.

Ended up liking the er6 and er9 at the end.

I went with the ER9 since the heavier head allows for the use of the gravity grip while keeping the heavy head feel. Mine was shorter than stock and less loft.

Putters are all about confidence and I guess since I got fit and spent close to $400 on this thing, I better feel good about it.

The guys I play with can definite notice a different, I may make a putt more often but the main difference everyone notices is how close I can get the ball to the hole for an easy tap in. That's where I saw the biggest difference.

When I get paired up with random people, the only people that know this putter is people who go on golf spy...lol... maybe they have an advertisement deal.

Too bad they discontinued the ER9, it has a distinct sound when you putt with it.

No, there's no other putter that has better resale than a Scotty because of name recognition. It's like getting a Rolex, Rolex might not be the best watches but everyone knows a Rolex.

I don't know about the specs or differences if any in the steel but to me the sound doesn't bother me at all with the black. It has a nice click that isn't as high pitched a ping the silver had.

No. There's not many putters that keep their value like Cameron's.

Finally stopped by GG today and got to the roll the black ER5 with that enormous gravity grip on it. Loved the new black look and loved the ER5 but was not a fan of that huge grip. Id buy one with the normal grip on it and will probably shift some items around to do just that. Very slick putter! But gravity grip, no thanks.

I am interested to know this, too. And when you say “huge” is there a comparable size to one of the Superstroke grip models, for example? Also, what was your sense of the tech and how it is supposed to work (even if the size was off putting to you)?

So texture wise it reminded me of a Superstroke grip. Had that same tacky sort of feel to it and that didn’t really bother me much.

If I remember correctly it was slightly tapered and I will say I did putt very well. It’s just very large like a jumbo SS grip and I’m just not use to large things in my hands? Lol I mean the putter and stroke was super smooth. If you dudes don’t mind the size you’ll probably like the grip.

Feels like a superstroke...it's a tapered SS 2.0...i was coming from a counterbalanced 2.0 so didn't need much adjustment.

EvnRoll has multiple grips. They have one similar to the superstoke, round with a flat top, probably the size of a mid slim 2.0. They have traditional pistol grips that probably aren't made by Winn. And this year Guerin Rife is creating a brand called Gravity Grip that will be a separate company from EvnRoll but can be put on an EvnRoll with EvnRoll branding.

I have the Gravity Grip in my hands - I find it's more comparable in texture to a Rosemark without all those nubs. It has a design on the grip that is indented, perhaps, to draw off moisture in the heat. I don't appreciate SuperStrokes because for me they tend to get slick in the heat. As to shape, think of the Gravity Grips as a smaller diameter Rosemark - skinnier but flatter on the sides. I find it comfortable in the hands. I think the flatter, slightly longer sides help the stability of your stroke.

At first putt, I wasn't sure that I liked it (the internals are that it has a small metal rod down the entire back of the grip (part of the tech)), but have stuck with it for 6 weeks. I found the design/tech helps to keep the back of my front wrist square to the line - you are more aware of the face. When I practice, I think of the back of the front wrist on my line and it stays square a bit longer. Tested it on the putting stick.

After a week or two with the GG, I switched to left hand low (where ball position is muy important) and started making everything - of course, it's a keeper. Happy I stuck with it. I am more precise with the hands now.
