How do I fix this?

cboldcbold Members Posts: 22 ✭✭
I have a SkyPro swing analyzer.....it showed a consistent driver swing speed of 85 to 87 MPH but an angle of attack very down as much -9 or 10.....gave up trying to fix it myself and took a lesson with a Pro.....he fixed it by changing my stance, grip, and my turn....now my angle of attack is -2 to +1, this is what my SkyPro shows and was also confirmed by the Pro’s Trackman HOWEVER, my swing speed has dropped to 77 to 78 MPH. With the new stance, grip and turn, every time I try to swing faster my angle of attack goes way negative again. My SkyPro shows my hands are getting ahead of the club head at impact which I think is generating the negative attack angle....I may have to go back to the Pro but I was wondering if anyone here might suggest a way to regain my swing speed and maintain my good attack angle.

Maybe you consider cricket? Or a spelling bee?

I kid, I kid. Welcome to the forums, and I'm sure if you post in the Instruction Forum you'll get it straightened out. When you go over there don't be put off by some of the negative posts/attitudes you may run into. Everyone here is really friendly/willing to help, they just get a little crazy over there every so often image/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> !

Don't get discouraged, it takes quite a while to groove a true swing change.

The more speed/power you attempt to inject the more likely you are to revert to old/efficient* motor patterns.

Be patient a swing change is a marathon not a sprint.
