Is that just the camera angle of the face pic of the M5 tour ? Why does the silver look like it comes down so low on the face?

Perhaps I'm the only one who's really noticed this, but I'm a big fan of the new score lines on the face of the drivers. The lines are laser engraved, leaving the dashes around the center as the only elements that are recessed into the face. The dashes frame the ball nicely in the address position. Their old design had been in place for a long time and it had become a bit of an iconic design element. The new design pays homage to the past, but is a nice step forward.

Man, the M5 Tour is definitely a different head shape. I like it from the top. I'll have to get a closer look at the face as the silver portion seems to wrap over the edge a bit more. Could be the angle. At first glance, I think I prefer the look of the M3 440 more though. But, will hold judgement until I hold them in hand.

Same for the fairways. Visually, I'm just liking the last generation more.

And, the headcover reminds me so much if the FT-9/FT Tour headcovers.

Tour driver reminds me a bit like the tour issue R1 “B” heads , unique for sure. M6 will probably find it’s way in my bag.

I wish the M5 Tour driver was available for us left handed guys. C'mon TM show the left handed players some love with the smaller head drivers. Nothing since the tour issue R15 430 (which I have).

Swung the M5 with HZRDUS Smoke 6.5 70 gram tonight and it is a beast. My warm up swings on the simulator were going longer than my current gamer. Initially launched high but after moving the weights around and dialing it in I was seeing some crazy numbers. Almost 6-7 yards longer carry than anything I've hit so far in 2019. I don't want to like it but its hard to argue the results.

I was so baffled that I put it head to head with Flash Sub Zero and F9 all set to 9 degrees / Pro V1 X ball / Neutral hosel settings / same shaft HZRDUS smoke 6.5 70 gram shaft. Spin and launch was highest on Flash.....Spin was by far lowest on M5.....Ball speed was highest on F9. The carry and total distance of the M5 was 6 yards longer. Curious to see if anyone else sees a significant uptick like I did.

To me the M6 driver and the M6 fairway are the best looking heads at address I have seen, based on these pictures. It's hard to see them not going into the bag.

The way the top line rolls down onto the face looks very odd to me. It could be the pictures that are causing the look or its the way the club is painted. I need to see them in person.

I usually have the best results with Taylormade drivers, tend to just suit my eye so i look forward to checking them out.

It does.....if that's how the tour looks I'll pass from above it look great (R7 425ish) but the face looks super weird unless that's just a bad photo.

It looks a lot better than some of the recent headcovers from the big OEM's. The headcover is definitely not a deal breaker by any means. But, the original Epic headcover could be the worst headcover design and quality that I can remember. This looks more in line with what Ping did with the G400, which was pretty good.
