Titleist TS1 and TS4 Drivers coming in the Fall

Interesting, I thought the TS3 was already super low spin? Also they claimed that they made higher MOI prototypes of the TS2 but people react to the MOI and swing slower after a certain point.

Somewhat conveniently, that point was between the MOI of the TS2 and G400Max. That's starting to smell like marketing BS...

That's very odd naming convention, makes little sense. Wonder if they and/or ping will ever move to carbon fiber on the crown.

What's wrong with the naming convention? They released a smalled head and lower spinning D4 before. This seems inline with that and the addition of the TS1 makes sense too. The lower the number the more forgiving and higher spin it will be it seems.

With the name, could there be an AP4 on the next round of irons?

I can't see that being the case. You need to get them separate. If you are asking a guy to pay $500 for a TS2 or TS3, how are they going to feel about someone having a TS4 that cost $1000.

I can’t believe anyone is wasting their time speculating on this “information” when the original post says nothing about where this information came from or who the poster might be that he or she would even have access to this information that no one else has heard a whisper of.

Without more details I’m calling this post out as pure winter boredom trolling.

My Titleist rep stopped by the shop after their sales meeting last week and mentioned something similar but couldn’t give me any details about either driver. Said he wouldn’t know anything specific until the summer meeting.

Agree with the odd naming system of Titliest and Ping. Taylormade and Cobra does better.

I love the TS3, but wish the offered a matte black option. If they are releasing these I really hope they are matte finish

It could be “fake news” but the more I think it about the more I can make an argument for the following to cover all bits of the fitting bell curve (to rob a phase from the other site).

Fixed weight draw biased D1 for the slow swing speeds and smaller low low spin forward cg D4 for the guys who are high spin/negative AOA??

Im sure im in the minority but I could use a lower SPIN TS version for sure. I tried TS3 8.5 lofted as low as possible with Hzrdus black tipped an inch was still spinning to much for me. M3 8.5 lofted down 1 click same shaft much lower spin and weights are all the way back. Loved the look and feel of the TS driver but was leaving some serious yards in the bag
