Personally I like the look of the wedges but it might be a little too much heel/toe radius for some.

I like the look but why do I want a scallop taken out of the trailing edge of the sole like that? Don't I want more mass low and rearward behind the ball?

maybe to raise cog to help keep ballflight down? image/dntknw.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':dntknw:' />

Possibly to spread the weight toward the toe more to make the CG closer to the actual center of the club face. Most MB wedges have a CG that's heel biased.

Could also just be for looks to stand out... because Cobra.

The cutout is a piece of their design heritage, the original Trusty Rusty wedges had it. It is part of the "tri-bounce" sole design although I'm not sure the notch actually does anything other than make the wedge recognizable as a Cobra wedge.

    They are sharp looking though.

The rounded leading edge, easier to play with the face open?

What's the marketing fluff story behind the concentric circles? Featuring new "Concentric Circle Technology"?

The notch is there to lower the leading edge height when you lay the face open. Essentially allowing the club to lay flatter, but not reducing overall sole width and bounce.

Like the rounded look. So much better to my eye. I always feel like some heel to toe radius makes it easier to slide the wedge under the ball. Really like that style out of the sand. Good looking wedges.
