Just a friendly discussion topic

Who do you think has had the better career or whose career would you take?

Both are 38 years of age and have approximately $49 million in PGA Tour career earnings.

Some stats:

Adam Scott

- 13 PGA Tour wins

- 1 major

- 2 WGC

- 1 Players

- 7 other European Tour wins

- 17 major top 10's

- 11 weeks as World No. 1

Justin Rose

- 10 PGA Tour wins

- 1 major

- 2 WGC

- 1 FedEx Cup

- 1 Olympic Gold

- 9 other European Tour wins

- 15 major top 10's

- 7 weeks as World No. 1

Based on the stats you've provided it's got to be Scott. The only thing Rose has over him is the FedEx Cup (& the cash that came with it ?).

Truth is, they're careers are pretty similar. Both have exceptional golf swings...certainly on a short list of best in the world, and they've both been inconsistent with the putter over their respective careers.

It's Scotty for me. He's been my guy for as long as I can remember. It is amazingly how similar their careers have panned out. Interesting thing to note is that Scott got his first win at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and beat Justin Rose into second place. The year after Rose got his first win at the very same event. I don't know why but that is something that I have always remembered.

Couple things though - you have missed out the Olympic gold medal for Rose. It may or may not turn out to be a big deal but it is certainly something that will go down in the history books and certainly it is something that stands out in Rose's career. The other thing is, if Rose keeps going like this, my answer could grudgingly become Rose by the end of the year.

I forgot to add Rose's Olympic Gold medal. Though many would discount it.

I’m an Aussie and I actually voted for Rose. They’re pretty similar right now but I think by the end of their careers Rose might be just ahead

It's really close, depends on how much you value 2 extra Euro wins and the Olympic gold. I would still vote for Adam Scott based on their PGA Tour careers. Of course with JR's recent play he may overtake Scott sooner rather than later.

When did Rose become a full time member of the PGA Tour?

As far as majors go I put the least amount of stock in the master. The U.S. Open (rose) is the greatest test and Rose win it at an amazing venue. The master while beautiful is by far the easiest to wjn. So, Rose.

They are basically the same. Both will have underperformed their potential if they each end with only 1 major. Both have had chances to bag a second but it hasn't happened yet. I'd bet that neither of them care about any other career accolades besides getting major #2.

Personally, I like Adam Scott more (great swing and always a classic looking bag of clubs) but the track records are indistinguishable.

If you look at the stats, it would be Adam.

But since he had no success since the ban of the anchored putters, I would personally go with Justins career.

He actually won twice in 2016, the year the anchor ban took effect. The Honda Classic and WGC Cadillac at Doral.

Just curious, why do some people think Scott's record is so much better? He has 4 more PGA wins less an Olympic Gold/2 Eurotour wins. If you look at the quality of tournaments, each of them have 4 wins that are lower tier tournaments, so that would definitely put the number of quality wins in Scott's favor.

Personally, I think the top 2s, top 10s, Ryder Cup/President Cup is not worth much...

Scott started better but it looks like Rose will finish better.

Definitely feels like Scott has under achieved relative to talent not sure the same could be said for Rose, also massively talented but appears to get everything out of his game.
