How good will Matthew Wolff be?

So given the forum gave Cameron Champ the treatment and he isn't exactly a complete player, now that the prodigy has arrived, where do we stand on his potential future?

As a reminder, our levels, there are six choices in the poll and it is public.

#1: Jack/ Tiger level

Wolff's game will change the course of human affairs. He will be talked about as the best ever. Tournaments with him will get double or triple the attention of others. Courses will need to be "Wolff proofed." Jim Nantz will hammer his life story into your DNA (the BDE category).

#2: First Ballot Hall of Famer

Among the 10-20 best ever with the likes of Watson, Mickelson and Trevino. He will win 5-8 majors and over thirty PGA Tour events. He will reach #1 in the world and PGA POY. He'll still get huge media coverage and make a lot off the course if he wants to (the Phil category)

#3 Hall of Fame Career

Among the best ever with the likes of Davis Love III or Tom Kite. He will win about twenty times on the PGA Tour and win 1-3 majors. He will still make a lot of money on the course. However, there will be some who think he "underachieved" (the DJ category).

#4 Solid Career

7-10 wins and he might have a major in there too (the Ricky category).

#5 Overhyped

Wolff is good, but he'll be fortunate to win 5 times. He'll struggle to keep his card a few times, but he'll have a few John Daly like weeks where he makes a run. He might even fluke a major in his career, probably at Augusta or a windless week at the Old Course (the Aaron Baddeley category)

#6 He's a bum

He's nothing but a big hitter (aka Alvaro Quiros category).

Alvaro Quiros a bum? I get that he has underachieved after a fast start but 7 wins on the European Tour doesn't classify as a bum.

I kind of think Hall of Famer just because he does bring back the warm fuzzies of Furyk and his unique swing. It doesn't hurt that despite his non-traditional swing he is a complete player from tee to green.

The kid had an average day yesterday for his game and what he's capable of and he's only sitting 3 back in his first PGA Tour event as a 19-year old.

Hopefully better than what is out there right now. With the exception of Bryson and DJ no golfers today come close today to being able to close golf tournaments. I understand that Jack/Tiger are once in a generation but looking for someone to step up with and be a winner. For now I’m hoping this guy can win a US Amateur and have some strong showings. So at the end of time the best golfers will be a Bear, a Tiger and a Wollf.

I picked overhyped but getting possibly 4 wins and a pile of money is hardly a bad thing. His swing is unique but through the ball he is perfect and powerful...a great combo. He certainly has the physical tools to do great things. Mental game...no idea.
